Acura will try to maintain a two-month win streak in the Grand Touring Prototype category of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. After wins at Detroit (the No. 93 ARX-06) and Watkins Glen International (the No. 60 ARX-06), the Meyer Shank Racing Acuras will return with IMSA's premier division at Road America — where the manufacturer is winless since a 2022 repave. Every race we're kind of getting better with the new organization, as there's a lot of new faces and new people. I feel like we're just getting stronger. So, yeah, I think we're hopeful that we can fight for the victory again next weekend.' After taking the 2024 season off, MSR has returned to full-time competition with heavier involvement from Honda Racing Corporation in the strategy and engineering of its No. 93 ARX-06. Acura's winning run has interrupted a strong start for Porsche Penske Motorsport, which won the first four races this season (most recently in mid-May at Laguna Seca) and still maintains a healthy lead in the championship standings. Full-time manufacturers BMW and Cadillac are seeking their first GTP wins in 2025. The GTP category has been on a six-week layoff since mid-June at Watkins Glen and returns for the only sprint race that will feature all four divisions of the SportsCar Championship. It's also the last two-hour, 40-minute race for a while at Road America, whose event will increase to six hours next year. From Love Island to live sports, streaming on Peacock is getting a bit more expensive
Starting tomorrow, it's going to cost a few bucks more each month to stream Law & Order, The Office and yes, even Love Island. Peacock, NBC's streaming platform, is raising their prices for both monthly and annual plans. The price increase will go into effect officially on Wednesday, July 23. Here's a breakdown of the price increase, as well as everything you need to know about Peacock: How much will Peacock cost under the new pricing? The monthly ad-supported Peacock Premium subscription plan will now be $10.99/month (up from $7.99). The ad-free Premium Plus Plan will now be $16.99/month (up from $13.99). Annual plans are also impacted with Peacock Premium going from $79.99 to $109.99 per year. Premium Plus will soon cost $169.99, instead of $139.99. New subscribers on July 23 will pay the new prices, while existing customers can expect the price to increase on the first billing cycle after July 23, depending on the date of your renewal. That said, it's also about to get more expensive, as the streamer has announced that it will be increasing its subscription prices later this week. Once the price hike takes effect, the price of the Peacock Premium plan will increase by $3 to $10.99 a month or $30 to $109.99 a year. The same goes for the Premium Plus Plan, which will increase by $3 to $16.99 a month or $30 to $169.99 a year. With prices increasing in just two days, now's a better time than ever to subscribe to Peacock if you've been on the fence. Peacock is raising its prices by $3
A subscription to Peacock is about to cost more. NBCUniversal announced on Thursday that it's raising the price of its ad-supported Peacock Premium from $7.99 to $10.99 per month, while its ad-free Premium Plus plan will go from $13.99 per month to $16.99 per month. News of the price hike was first reported by Vulture. For new customers, the price increase will go into effect on July 23rd. Existing subscribers will see the hike on or after August 22nd, depending on when their next bill is. Peacock's yearly plans will see similar increases, with Peacock Premium now priced at $109.99 per year (up from $79.99) and Premium Plus costing $169.99 (up from $139.99). Peacock raised its prices by $2 in the lead-up to the 2024 Summer Olympics, an event it will continue to stream for at least another decade. NBCUniversal has filled out Peacock with a growing slate of original content, which includes shows like Poker Face, Love Island, and Dr. Death. It will also air NBA games later this year.
