How to lock in a year of Peacock for $80 before the price increases on July 23

Home to summer smashes like "Love Island USA" and " Love Island: Beyond the Villa," Peacock is the unofficial streaming service of the summer. That said, it's also about to get more expensive, as the streamer has announced that it will be increasing its subscription prices later this week. Luckily, there's still time to lock in a year of Peacock for $80 before that happens.
Once the price hike takes effect, the price of the Peacock Premium plan will increase by $3 to $10.99 a month or $30 to $109.99 a year. The same goes for the Premium Plus Plan, which will increase by $3 to $16.99 a month or $30 to $169.99 a year.
With prices increasing in just two days, now's a better time than ever to subscribe to Peacock if you've been on the fence. Simply head over to the Peacock website and sign up to lock in one year of Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus for the current prices of $79.99 or $139.99, respectively, before it's too late. The annual plans offer the best deal, but if you'd prefer to save on the monthly plan, you can check out our guide to the best Peacock promo codes we've tested.
Read our full Peacock TV guide to learn more about the platform.
Keep in mind that subscribing now will only lock in a lower price for your first year of Peacock. If you choose to keep the service beyond one year, your subscription will automatically renew at the then-standard price this time next year ($109.99 for Peacock Premium or $169.99 for Peacock Premium Plus, pending any further increases), though you can always cancel before then.
Peacock price increase: Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus?
Both Peacock plans, Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus, are available in monthly and annual payment options. Peacock Premium is ad-supported, but gives you access to the streamer's full catalog.
Peacock Premium Plus allows you to watch without ads. The Premium Plus plan also includes other perks like access to live coverage from your local NBC station and the ability to download and watch certain programming offline on a mobile device.

‘Law & Order' star Christopher Meloni says he's ‘f—ing trying' to get Stabler to hook up with Benson

The verdict is in: Christopher Meloni knows what the fans want. The 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' star, 64, revealed that he has been trying to get his character, Detective Elliot Stabler, to hook up with his former partner, Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay). Viewers have wanted these two to get together since they first starred side by side on 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' in 1999. Stephanie Beatriz: Quiet wants to fix an unfair world in 'Twisted Metal' S2

NEW YORK, July 30 (UPI) -- Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Encanto actress Stephanie Beatriz says her character Quiet is still fighting for equality in a post-apocalyptic world in Season 2 of the PlayStation game adaptation, Twisted Metal, which premieres on Peacock Thursday. "She sort of has the same mission she did at the end of Season 1, which is rob from the rich and give to the poor," Beatriz, 44, told UPI in a recent Zoom interview. "But it's expanded a little in her mind to: Why is everything so unequal? Why do the people behind the walls of the cities have everything and those on the outside have absolutely nothing?" she explained. "When Calypso (Anthony Carrigan) announces that there's this demolition derby tournament to the death and there's only one winner and that winner receives their greatest wish, well, she's got no choice but to enter." Season 2 sees Quiet working with Dollface (Tiana Okoye), the sister of her ex-boyfriend John Doe (Anthony Mackie), an amnesiac delivery driver who has been rewarded with a seemingly better life within the walls of New San Francisco after he completes a difficult task. "Whether or not she and John will see eye to eye about entering together, or if they're going to be adversaries, that sort of will be revealed as the season goes on," Beatriz said. "It's a little like when you went to college and then you came back to your hometown and you saw all the kids that you went to high school with and maybe some of the guys that you had crushes on or maybe even your ex-boyfriend and you're like, 'I don't know if you're quite as smart or handsome as I thought you were.' I think that's a little bit of where Quiet's at, at the beginning of Season 2." Quiet and John have always had a tumultuous relationship, despite their electric attraction to each other. "She's not so sure that they make the best partners," Beatriz said. "John's really used to having Quiet in the passenger seat next to him," she added. "Sometimes, he lets her drive, but, really, their relationship is one where John is in the driver's seat and Quiet is the passenger. So, what happens when Quiet has decided that she can drive, too? Maybe she's just as good, if not better, than John." Quiet has tremendous respect for Dollface because she recognizes what a good leader she is, but that relationship isn't perfect either. "I don't know that [Quiet], always, ethically, is in the same world as Dollface. Dollface takes some drastic measures and I don't know that Quiet's always comfortable with that," Beatriz noted. Quiet is one of the few characters who has lived within the relatively civilized city walls and its violent, untamed outer limits. After a bad experience in The O.C. -- where Quiet and her brother were enslaved and tortured with the promise they could some day earn their freedom -- she is suspicious about the price people must pay to join these protected communities. "She's really seen the great lie that has been sold to the people, not unlike the [real] world today. There's many great lies that we're kind of coming to grips with and our eyes have been opened about a lot of stuff in the last 20 years," Beatriz said. "For Quiet, she's been on the inside. She's seen how it works for people like her and she isn't willing to put up with it anymore and if that means that she loses her life in the process of trying to fight for what's right, then she's OK with that," the actress added. "I don't know if John's OK with that, though, because he really deeply cares for Quiet and I don't know that he's willing to risk her safety for the safety of everybody else." The show raises a fascinating question: Will the winner improve the lives of others or ramp up the misery for their own amusement? "One of the coolest things about bringing Calypso, played by Anthony Carrigan, into Season 2, is that not only is Anthony's performance just incredible -- he's such talented actor and he's so funny and weird and quirky and dangerous and kind of sexy in this role -- but this idea that Calypso can grant you anything your heart desires," Beatriz said. "No. 1, how can he do that? No. 2, how does it manifest? And, if you play the [video] game, Calypso doesn't always give you your wish in the way that maybe you want him to. Is it going to be fair and square, or is there some underhanded dealing going on behind the scenes?" This unpredictability and tension make for great storytelling, she added. "It felt like the rug was constantly being pulled out from under the characters and, personally, I really like that. When I watch television shows, I don't want to be 10 steps ahead of the characters," she said. "I want to be right alongside with them on the ride and I think you really feel that way in Season 2 of Twisted Metal." Solve the daily Crossword

Serena Page, Leah Kateb, and More ‘Love Island USA' Alums Weigh In on JaNa and Kenny's Split

They say you shouldn't take sides when your friends break if your friends are JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez, this rule definitely does not apply. In the wake of JaNa and Kenny's breakup, several Love Island USA alums—including JaNa's besties and fellow season 6 stars Serena Page and Leah Kateb—have reacted to the news of the split on Instagram. JaNa and Kenny were one of the strongest couples to come out of Love Island USA season 6, and the two even star on Peacock's Beyond the Villa. Earlier this week, the two abruptly split and fellow Love Island USA alums began unfollowing Kenny, raising eyebrows and grabbing the attention of fans everywhere. To recap: JaNa confirmed the split in an Instagram story shared Tuesday, July 29, and while she didn't give a reason for the breakup, she did tell fans that it was 'terrible, disgusting, and disappointing.' Meanwhile, Kenny put out a statement of his own on Instagram, writing in part, 'Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term.' You'll be shocked to learn that these vague platitudes did not help his case. In fact, Kenny's response prompted Charmane Smith (a close friend of JaNa's) to post on her page, seemingly implying that JaNa had found incriminating information on Kenny's phone with messages like, 'I don't like black women, I thought I would get more money from this, I'm faking this relationship, going on the show would be for clout, I can't wait to be done w this so I can fuck hella b*tches.' Charmane's Instagram has since been made private, but JaNa's other close friends—including Love Island USA season 6 alums Leah, Serena, Liv Walker, and Kaylor Martin—followed, calling Kenny out and publicly declaring themselves #TeamJaNa. Serena Page Comments on JaNa and Kenny's Split Serena (aka one of JaNa's best friends and member of the PPGs) kept things civil, asking fans to remember that 'it may just be tea for y'all but that's not the case for us.' That being said, she made it clear on which side she stands, writing, 'Y'all already know how I'm coming behind JaNa, and TRUST so does he.' Leah Kateb Calls Kenny 'Racist' on Instagram Leah Kateb—the third Power Puff Girl in season 6's Love Island USA trio—also weighed in on Instagram. Leah reposted JaNa's response to Kenny, in which she called her ex a 'manipulative liar,' and added her own two cents. '@kennyrodriguez Put a sock in it ChatGPT headass,' she wrote. 'Tell the truth for once! Racist, clout/money hungry and a scammer since Day 1!!!!!' She also sent a message of support to JaNa, telling fans not to worry, 'Our Nay is blessed and highly favored.' Leah followed up a bit later, sharing what appears to be a text from her to an unnamed recipient, saying, 'This is the month of clout chasers I guess??' On her Story, she annotated the text, crossing out 'chasers' and writing 'demons shall I say.' She also declared the events of the week, 'Mercury retrograde taking out the trash.' Liv Walker Exposes Kenny's 'Chat GPT' Statement Liv also criticized Kenny's statement, sharing it on her Instagram Stories. 'Your pathetic excuse for a story is laughable. I can't even put into words how good of a person Naynay is and how hard it is [to] watch her go through something like this,' she wrote. '@kennyrodriguez I hope this gives you the clout you always wanted you fucking loser.' Liv was so unimpressed by Kenny's statement that she decided to go straight to the source, asking Chat GPT if it thought AI had written Kenny's response. The answer, per her Instagram: 'Yes.' Kaylor Martin Calls Kenny 'A Poor Excuse of a Man' And of course, Kaylor also weighed in, sharing a screenshot of JaNa's response to Kenny and adding, '@kennyrodriguez is a poor excuse of a man. You lost the most beautiful genuine soul. Shame on you.' Kendall Washington Supports JaNa on Instagram Most of the Love Island USA season 6 men have yet to comment publicly, though almost all of them have unfollowed Kenny on Instagram. Kendall, however, showed his support for JaNa on Instagram, sharing a video of the two dancing together with the message, 'Love you forever Nay Nay.'
