"Percy Jackson and the Olympians" Renewed for Season 3 Ahead of Season 2 Premiere
'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' has been renewed for Season 3 at Disney+ nearly a year before the series' second season premiere. Disney Branded Television and 20th Television have announced that a third season, based on the Rick Riordan novel 'The Titan's Curse,' is already in the works, with Season 2 of the hit show now set to debut in December 2025. An exact premiere date will be announced in the future. The second season of 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn and Daniel Diemer. Production recently wrapped in Vancouver. The news is not altogether surprising, given how well Season 1 of 'Percy Jackson' did on Disney+. According to Nielsen streaming data, the show was among the top five most-watched original shows across all of streaming when it debuted in December 2023. Disney had also previously reported that the first episode drew 13.3 million views in its first six days on Disney+ and Hulu, with a view defined as total time watched divided by runtime. Created by Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, Season 2 of 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' is executive produced by Steinberg and Dan Shotz alongside Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, The Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group's Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson. 20th Television is the studio.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians' Scores Early Season 3 Renewal
Congratulations seaweed brain, 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' has been renewed for Season 3, several months ahead of its season 2 return The news came on Friday afternoon, along with the tease that Season 2 of the Disney+ series starring Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri will be released in December on the streamer. Following the hopes of 'Percy Jackson' author and creator Rick Riordan, Season 3 will follow the third book in the series, called 'The Titan's Curse.' 'We're so grateful to be continuing the story of Percy Jackson on Disney+. This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favorites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time,' Riordan said. 'It's a huge sign of commitment from Disney, and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the TV show. Thank you, demigods worldwide!' Ahead of the series' debut on Disney+, Riordan told TheWrap that fans could 'rest easy' about how the show would approach the books, saying at the time that 'There's a lot of, I guess, pent-up wish fulfillment about having an adaptation that really sort of reflects the books. And I think — I hope — this series is going to be the antidote for that.' 'From the moment 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages,' Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television said. 'With season two set to premiere this December, we're thrilled to announce that Percy's journey will continue with a third season. Huge thanks to our incredible cast and creative team, our partners at 20th Television, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring Rick Riordan's world to life with such depth and imagination.' Season 2 will adapt the second book in the series, 'The Sea of Monsters,' which brings in two new characters as well. Back at SDCC last year, it was revealed that Daniel Diemer will play Percy's half-brother Tyson, and a few months later, it was revealed that Tamara Smart would play Zeus' daughter Thalia. An exact premiere date for season 2 of 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' has not been revealed yet. Season 1 is now streaming on Disney+.
