DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Darke County on Monday. The Darke County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened at approximately 5:31 p.m. in the intersection of S.R. 49 and Grubbs-Rex Road. Local university to host Lent art gallery The initial investigation found a 2019 Hyundai Tucson driving northwest on S.R. 49 turned left onto Grubbs-Rex Road and failed to yield. It crashed into a 2018 Toyota RAV4 heading southeast on S.R. 49. Officials said the Hyundai then spun out into a 2025 Peterbilt 337 waiting at the intersection. The Peterbilt was facing east on Grubbs-Rex Road. The Toyota driver was taken by medics to Wayne Healthcare for minor injuries. The Hyundai driver was cited for failure to yield. A 27-year-old woman was injured after a three-vehicle crash in Darke County Monday evening. Hartzell failed to yield the right of way to a Toyota Rav-4 driven by 27-year-old Suzette Ferguson of Richwood that was traveling southeast of State Route 49. The two vehicles collided, and Hartzell's vehicle spun into a Peterbilt 337 truck driven by 41-year-old Stephen Lamb of West Milton, who was stopped on Grubbs-Rex Road. Ferguson was taken to Wayne Healthcare and treated for minor injuries. Hartzell was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way when turning left.
