Did you know 'Bridgerton' star Phoebe Dynevor almost got arrested after she refused to speak to the cops while filming a scene?

Phoebe Dynevor , the 'Bridgerton' star, refused to break her character while shooting the film, which almost led to her being arrested. While the 30-year-old actress is renowned for her exceptional acting skills, she refused to go out of her character and interact with the police. Phoebe Dynevor almost got arrested in New York... In an interview with Hindustan Times, the filmmaker Neil Burger spoke about his new release, 'Inheritance,' and how the film was being shot in parts. Shot on iPhone, the film experiments with cinematography, and when the scenes were being shot in public spaces, the actors were advised to improvise the lines when non-crew members interacted with them. While filming in New York, Phoebe had a scene where she had to steal a bottle from the store and then drink on the street. However, the police, who did not know about the ongoing shoot, approached the actress and asked her why she was drinking in the public space. With the mindset of not breaking character and improvising the lines, Phoebe refused to show her ID. The situation escalated to the point where the crew and Burger had to step in, telling the officers that they were shooting a film. Phoebe Dynevor improvised the lines in New Delhi as well... The improvisation did not end there. The entire film is shot in the parts of Seoul, Cairo, New York, and New Delhi. While shooting in New Delhi, Burger took shots in public places and markets. The other people, aside from the crew, did not know about the shoot, which was kept intentional, allowing to keep the shots to remain in natural ambience. Bridgerton goes to the dogs as canine show celebrates Regency-era Rovers

It was Rover meets Regency as thousands of pets and their owners gathered in London for a Bridgerton-themed dog show. The British capital's best period-costumed pooches strutted their stuff at the annual Greenwich dog show, held on May 25 at the historic Old Royal Naval College. Canines competed in four categories including Waggiest Tail, Handsome Hound, Cutest Pup, Glorious Golden Oldie, and beginner-friendly Best Trick. This year's Best Bridgerton Lookalike category - a nod to the naval college site that featured in the Netflix series - featured four-legged competitors in traditional French aristocracy wigs, poufy dresses, stylish suits and extravagant hats. One owner was seen walking her schnauzer, Mr Darby, in a long white dress and traditional hat, while other pooches were seen in pearl necklaces and white veils. Some of the pups were keen to hit the catwalk, while others struggled as their owners tried to dress them up in wigs and fashionable bows. Described as 'an extraordinary cultural destination,' the naval college site has been a popular filming location for various productions, including Bridgerton. First released in 2020, the period drama follows the lives of the eight Bridgerton siblings as they seek to navigate London during the Regency era. With each season focusing on a different sibling's romantic journey, the star-studded cast features well-known names that includes Phoebe Dynevor, Rege-Jean Page, Jonathan Bailey, and Nicola Coughlan. The fourth installment of the much-loved program is set to return to screens in 2026, while some reports have suggested Netflix could have bagged a multi-million-dollar investment to make both series five and series six. The dog's whiskers: The competition featured four-legged competitors in traditional French aristocracy wigs, poufy dresses, stylish suits and extravagant hats.

EXCLUSIVE Waterloo Road star Hattie Dynevor reveals her sister Phoebe is her 'biggest inspiration' - as she lifts lid on run in with HUGE Hollywood star

Hattie Dynevor has revealed that her sister Phoebe is her 'biggest inspiration' as she gushed over her famous family. The Waterloo Road star, 21, is the younger sister of Bridgerton star Phoebe, 30, and the daughter of Coronation Street actress Sally, 61. She has followed in the footsteps of her family in recent years, making her own venture into acting playing Libby Guthrie in BBC 's Waterloo Road. And speaking to MailOnline at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Liverpool on Saturday, Hattie admitted that her big sister is her 'biggest inspiration'. 'They [her mum and sister] have been so supportive, we're a very supportive family,' she said. 'We're all really close as well which is so lovely. My sister is obviously my biggest inspiration and we went to Paris Fashion Week together. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'That was amazing. It was so incredible just to watch her, and yeah we had the best time.' Hattie went on to dish the dirt on meeting a huge Hollywood star while at Paris Fashion Week. 'I met Emma Stone in Paris and she was so lovely,' she said. 'It was amazing to meet her.' Hattie was born in the Trafford area of Greater Manchester and arrived into a home focused on the small screen, giving her the perfect platform to crack the industry. She entered the public consciousness with an appearance on Lorraine alongside her father Tim in 2019 and an interview with OK! sitting beside her mother Sally, before landing her breakthrough role in Waterloo Road in April 2023. She is well known for her role as history teacher Neil Guthrie's daughter in the classic show, entering the fray two years ago for the 13th series. Hattie made such an impact on the school drama that she returned to play Libby in the 14th season last year. The star also made an appearance in an episode of the ITV series Drama Queens alongside her mother Sally. She has been making waves at various TV galas of late, oozing sophistication in the pink lace corseted dress at the RTS event in Manchester in November. Waterloo Road, about a troubled comprehensive school set in Rochdale, Lancashire, helped put her sister Phoebe, 30, on the map 16 years ago when she secured the role of Siobhan Mailey. She followed up the breakthrough with a supporting role in BBC drama Prisoners' Wives as the character Lauren, who is the daughter of a gangster. Older sister Phoebe also impressed as Martha Cratchit in BBC series Dickensian and played Clare, Josh's Irish fiancee, in the comedy show Younger in 2017. But her career-defining moment came in 2020 when she was cast as Daphne Bridgerton, the lead character in the opening season of Netflix's period drama Bridgerton. She appeared again, albeit in a much smaller role, in season two, but was completely absent in season three - which she and fans lamented. This triggered a wave of opportunities in the world of film and Phoebe played ceramicist Clarice Cliff in The Colour Room in 2021 before starring in the Bank Of Dave in 2023 alongside Rory Kinnear. She then acted opposite Alden Ehrenreich in the thriller Fair Play which received widespread critical acclaim. These roles have led her to hobnob with the great and the good of American show-business and Phoebe, who recently covered Porter magazine, made a fashion-forward appearance at a screening for her new film Inheritance in New York City.

Inheritance review: A superb Phoebe Dynevor anchors globetrotting espionage thriller

From the opening moments of Inheritance, the new film from Neil Burger, there's an immediate sense of connect with this unnamed twenty-something protagonist (played by Phoebe Dynevor) who has an aimless night, filled with booze and emotionless sex. The camera follows her through and through, as she coils up some deep melancholy the viewer is not aware of yet. We will come to know that she is Maya, who is mourning the death of her terminally ill mother after taking care of her for the last eight months, unable to see what lies ahead of her now. Soon, Maya comes in touch with her estranged father Sam (Rhys Ifans), who offers her to join his real estate business which has its headquarters in Egypt. There's something about the enterprise that does not quite look okay, but Maya is more than eager to leave her home and get a change- her self-destructive instinct poses a threat that will soon change her entire life when her father gets kidnapped. He was not a real estate fixer as he proclaimed for her to believe that easily, but a spy. Danger awaits her, and without any training whatsoever, she has no other way to go than get to the truth. This globe-trotting thriller has the immediacy thanks to the guerrilla approach used in filming with an i-Phone by cinematographer Jackson Hunt with a minimal crew. Inheritance boasts of a heightened sense of authenticity and unpredictability. The chaotic lanes of Delhi are just as raw and unpolished here as in real life- a gritty realism that is a welcome change from the multiple polished spy thrillers that are produced every year in abundance. The main issue here arrives from the scripting stage, written by Burger and Olen Stienhaur, which begs for more intrigue. The familiar narrative beats do not sync well with the tightly controlled pace of the film, as the revelations follow. Special mention for Paul Leonard-Morgan's kinetic score which adds a lot of energy and soul to the proceedings. At the centre of this globe-trotting actioner lies the committed performance of Phoebe Dynevor, who appears in almost every scene in the film. The Bridgerton star gives an immensely controlled and grounded turn as Maya, wholly believable as a young woman whose initial recklessness gives way for a more steely reserve along the way. Her gradual shift might be a tad too predictable as the mission runs along, but the actor is able to provide a rich interiority to her presence that elevates the film overall.
