Nothing CEO Carl Pei reveals Phone (3) price ahead of launch: Here's what we know so far
A few months ago, Nothing unveiled the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Phone (3a) Pro, its latest mid-range devices. Now, it looks like the company is focusing on the Nothing Phone (3), its first ever premium phone that will offer a flagship experience. In a video on the Android Show channel on YouTube, Nothing CEO Carl Pei announced that the Phone (3) will be priced around 800 pounds, which currently translates to $1,063 or Rs 90,500, taking into consideration the current exchange rate. You can check it out at the 50 second mark in the video below. This is almost double the price of the Phone (2), Nothing's most expensive smartphone to date. Pei also said that the Nothing Phone (3) will be made from 'premium materials' and have 'software that really levels things up.' Following the success of existing mid-range devices, it looks like Nothing wants to take on the likes of Samsung, Oppo and Xiaomi, who have been making flagship phones for decades. The launch date seems to be in line with the company's previous timeline, with Pei confirming that the Phone (3) will be coming sometime in the third quarter of the year, meaning we should see it sometime between July and September. The Phone (3)'s price hike isn't surprising, as Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis had previously confirmed in a post on X that its upcoming phone will be a true flagship. And while there is currently no news about the specifications, since the Nothing Phone (3) will be a flagship Android device, it is likely to either sport Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite or go with the fastest MediaTek chipset. With Android 16 going public next month, the Nothing Phone (3) may run on the latest version of Android out of the box. Also, similar to the Nothing Phone (3a) series, we might also see a dedicated button that lets offers quick access to AI features.

Viral 'Nothing' phone series debuts in UAE: Price, features, and all you need to know
Tech enthusiasts in the UAE have something to look forward to as Nothing officially launches its latest smartphone lineup, the Nothing Phone (3a) series. Bringing a fresh take on smartphone design and performance, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro continue the brand's mission of delivering cutting-edge technology with a striking aesthetic. Sales in the UAE commence on March 20, marking a significant milestone in Nothing's expansion into the region. Design & Display Nothing has built a reputation for its transparent design philosophy, and the Phone (3a) series proudly upholds this tradition. The Phone (3a) comes in White, Black, and Blue, while the Phone (3a) Pro is available in Grey and Black, offering a premium and futuristic look. Nothing's Regional Director for the Middle East, Rishi Kishor Gupta, who was at the phone's launch event in the UAE on March 19, shared his top three standout features of the latest series. For him, the design comes first. He makes a bold claim that users may not be able to identify which brand a phone belongs to if its brand name is removed. "That's where our phones are very unique," he says. "And that's the best part that I like, the design." Both models feature Nothing's signature Glyph Interface, an array of LED light strips on the back that provide visual notifications, customisable alerts, and even serve as a functional tool for camera lighting. The immersive display on the series boasts vivid colors and smooth refresh rates, ensuring an exceptional viewing experience for users. Rishi goes on to share his two favourite features: The Glyph interface and the Essential Space. "The Glyph interface does it for me, especially when I call ubers and a countdown timer is visible," he said. "That is something which is really amazing for me." The Nothing OS system is also quite seamless, he says, "it is very clear and smooth. We don't have any unnecessary block in the software. We made it so fast versus all other computers because we don't overload the software with block layers." As for the Essential Space, it is an AI feature that organises your content and prompts action. "Everything in one place. It removes the friction from recalling content," the official feature description read. "AI organises your captures and generates personalised suggestions and actions to help you stay on top of things." "I am using it a lot," Rishi says. "It is telling me my Fazza card will expire soon. We wanted to give something more useful to our consumers and that's why we created this Essential Space." Performance & Power Under the hood, the Nothing Phone (3a) is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, designed to deliver a seamless balance between performance and power efficiency. The Phone (3a) Pro, on the other hand, is expected to house a more advanced chipset, offering enhanced capabilities for multitasking and gaming. Both devices come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, ensuring ample space and speed for everyday tasks and demanding applications alike. Additionally, the AI Engine optimises performance, making the experience smoother and more intuitive. Camera & Imaging Nothing has emphasised the importance of camera innovation in its latest lineup. The Phone (3a) and 3a Pro feature advanced dual-camera setups, engineered to capture stunning photos and videos in various lighting conditions. Enhanced AI-powered processing ensures improved image quality, while the Glyph Interface can be used as a fill light for more natural and professional-looking shots. Battery & Charging Battery life remains a crucial factor, and Nothing has equipped the Phone (3a) series with a robust battery that supports fast charging. Users can expect reliable, all-day battery life with optimised power consumption, keeping them connected and productive throughout the day. UAE Pricing & Availability The Nothing Phone (3a) (12GB + 256GB) is priced at Dh1,399, making it a compelling option for those looking for a stylish yet powerful device. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro (12GB + 256GB) is available for Dh1,749, offering additional enhancements for users who want a more premium experience. An exclusive offer on Amazon UAE and Lulu allows users to buy the Nothing Phone (3a) (8GB + 128GB) for just Dh999. Both devices will be available across select retail partners and online stores in the UAE starting March 20. Talking about the UAE market, Rishi said, "The consumers here are very advanced. They are ready to adapt and embrace the new technologies and products if they connect with it. We have the right set of products and that's why UAE is at the core of our strategy." He adds, "We have so many launches this year and we will keep surprising you until the end of this year." For tech lovers looking to stand out while enjoying top-tier performance, the Nothing Phone (3a) and 3a Pro might just be the perfect choice.

Nothing takes on Apple and Samsung with stylish budget phone series
British startup Nothing has launched its latest Phone (3a) Series, aiming to disrupt the mobile industry's stagnation with bold design choices and high-end features at a competitive price. PHOTO: ZDNET Listen to article British startup Nothing has launched its latest Phone (3a) Series, aiming to disrupt the mobile industry's stagnation with bold design choices and high-end features at a competitive price. The Phone (3a), starting at £329 ($414), introduces a unique design with distinctive shapes and Glyph lights on the back for customizable notifications. The higher-end Phone (3a) Pro, priced at £449, enhances the camera experience with a 50MP triple-lens setup and optical image stabilization. Both devices run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, a shift from the MediaTek chipset used in the previous generation. CEO Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, envisions Nothing as an alternative to the "sea of smartphone sameness". The brand has grown rapidly, with 557% year-over-year growth in India in 2024. However, the Phone (3a) Pro will not be available in India, as the company focuses on price-sensitive markets. Despite its premium design and gaming enhancements like a 4,500 mm² vapor chamber for cooling and RAM Booster for up to 20GB memory, analysts suggest that Nothing will need to be extremely price-competitive to succeed against giants like Apple and Samsung. With over 7 million units sold across its product lineup and $1 billion in revenue, Nothing is betting big on its latest launch, hoping to carve out a niche in an increasingly saturated market.
