The Pina Colada crisps from PopWorks and Malibu contain only 81 calories, and despite the alcohol flavour, the crisps do not actually include alcohol therefore you do not need to be over 18-years-old to purchase or eat them. Popworks and Malibu partner up to create cocktail flavoured crisps | PopWorks Gui Pascuilli, Head of Culture & Partnership Malibu, said: 'With summer arriving, people crave that first sip of a Piña Colada to kick off the season. But why limit that feeling to the beach? At Malibu, we love inspiring people to enjoy their time off in unexpected ways. That's why we've teamed up with PopWorks to launch a new snack—a popped corn snack combining PopWorks' crunch with the tropical flavour of a Malibu Piña Colada. Non-alcoholic and full of good vibes, it brings the holiday mindset to you, wherever you are. It's bold, playful, and we hope consumers love it as much as we do.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad To celebrate the brand-new crisps, Popworks conducted a study to find out when Brits go from being disappointed to being happy to being asked to provide ID when purchasing alcohol. According to the study, 59% of adults over the age of 29 are happy to be asked for ID while those under the age of 29 can feel insulted or annoyed. To conduct the research, PopWorks took over the All Good Convenience Store in London, set up hidden cameras and asked customers of different ages to show ID, and tested the reactions of each customer. The Popworks and Malibu Pina Colada Sharing Crisps 85g are available to buy now from UK supermarkets. From Mai Tai To Pina Colada, Explore Tiki Cocktails And Take A Sip Of Beachside Paradise
Few things evoke the spirit of tropical escape quite like a tiki cocktail, especially when served in an intriguing tiki mug. Often shaped like ancient Polynesian idols, skulls, or hula girls, these collectable ceramic vessels are as much a part of the experience as the drink itself. Adorned with umbrellas, fruit skewers, and even flames, tiki cocktails don't just quench your thirst, they whisk you to a far-off paradise, one sip at a time. But have you ever wondered what exactly is 'tiki' and the 'tiki cocktail' genre? This weekend, sip on these flavourful cocktail histories (metaphorically), along with actually drinking fabulous tiki drinks with your friends and family. The Origins Of Tiki Culture Tiki culture draws inspiration from Oceanian art and mythology, stretching across the Pacific from Polynesia and Australasia to the Caribbean and Hawaii. The term "Tiki" comes from Maori mythology, where Tiki is considered the first man, often depicted as a figure worn as a pendant called the hei-tiki. While these symbols held deep cultural meaning, they were later adopted and commercialised in Western pop culture. Also Read: 10 Most Loved Cocktails Across The Globe The Birth Of The Tiki Cocktail The tiki cocktail emerged in 1933 with the opening of Don's Beachcomber in Hollywood, a Polynesian-themed bar and restaurant. This lively space served exotic rum-based punches with the vibe of a tropical movie set with flaming torches, bamboo furniture, and vibrant fabrics. The bar was quite popular and even frequented by celebrities. The signature concoctions, dubbed "Rhum Rhapsodies," were crafted with rum, fresh fruit juices, and flavoured syrups. These drinks were often served in creative vessels like hollowed-out pineapples or coconuts, elevating both their taste and visual appeal. The Allure Of Tiki Vessels By the 1950s, the now-iconic tiki mug became a staple of tiki bars. These elaborately decorated ceramic mugs were designed to resemble Polynesian deities or other tropical motifs. Beyond mugs, tiki drinks are also popularly served in carved pineapples or dramatic, fire-topped communal bowls with extra-long straws for group sipping. It's not just about flavour, it's about spectacle. 5 Iconic Tiki Cocktails You Should Try: Now that you understand tiki cocktails, it's time to try some of the most iconic tiki cocktails. 1. Pina Colada Pina Colada is so popular that many do not know it is actually a tiki cocktail. A classic from Puerto Rico, this creamy cocktail blends rum with pineapple juice and sweet coconut cream. Add a splash of lime for extra zest. 2. Mai Tai Arguably the most iconic tiki drink, the Mai Tai mixes dark and light rum with orange liqueur, lime juice, and orgeat syrup (almonds, sugar, orange flower water). A delicious balance of citrus and almond, this cocktail is a tiki essential. 3. Mojito Hailing from Havana, the classic and beloved Mojito is refreshingly simple, made with white rum, mint, lime, and sugar topped with soda. It is the perfect cocktail for hot summer days. 4. Rum Runner This tiki cocktail combines rum, banana liqueur, blackberry liqueur, grenadine, and tropical fruit juices. The legend goes that this fabulous combination was invented by accident at a tiki bar when the bartender combined all old leftover stock to make room for fresh ingredients. Also Read: Shandy, Anyone? The Ultimate Summer Cocktail You Will Want To Sip 5. Painkiller Dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut come together in this tiki classic, garnished with a dash of grated nutmeg. This drink is a twist on the classic Pina Colada and is extremely refreshing for hot summer days. Unwind this weekend with some tiki drinks that invite you to slow down and soak in the island vibes, no matter where you are. 'I saved £170 on holiday toiletries bagging £220 worth of beauty for £50'
Heading off on holiday soon, shopping writer Lucy Addicott found a way to sort her summer skincare and makeup for a fraction of the price For me, stocking up on summer-ready skincare and makeup is all part of the fun of going on holiday, but after navigating paying for flights, travel insurance and luggage fees, it can soon start to add up. With SPF, after-sun and moisturiser on my must-have list, I found an impressive way to bag all these items and more, saving £170. OK! Beauty Box, a beauty subscription service, have just launched a one-off summer beauty box packed with goodies worth over £220. Having received mine in the post, I was delighted to discover it contains 12 products, with eight of them being full sized. The box is priced at £49.99, so after a quick calculation, each item essentially comes in at £4.16 each. When you consider that just one of the products (the Mudmasky Glow-Up Cleanser) costs £40 alone, you're effectively getting ten products for free. And, if you can save money off your toiletries, that means more in the budget for cocktails, right? This beauty box is filled with products from stand-out brands including Bondi Sands, Trinny London, Hello Sunday and more, but the first item that caught my eye had to be the Nuxe multi-purpose dry oil for your face, body and oil. The travel size bottle is the ideal size for taking away as a little goes a long way. It leaves your skin with the most glorious shimmer and as it smells lovely and floral, it doubles up as a body scent, too. I would warn however that the applicator is a little tricky to use so be careful to not overpour and waste any of the product. Speaking of summery scents, the Bondi Sands Body Moisturiser enriched with vitamin E and jojoba has a tropical rum fragrance. I was a little wary at first that I might end up smelling too much like a Pina Colada, but the lotion has a subtle pineapple scent which is really pleasant. I personally use a gradual tan and the moisturiser has been specifically formulated to help prolong the life of your tan and be self-tan friendly. If you don't use self-tanner, it is still a hydrating, lightweight moisturiser that leaves skin smooth and radiant. If you're a fan of the summery scent from the best-loved Sol de Janiero Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, shoppers can find it included in the LookFantastic The Summer Heroes Edit. The box is worth more than £150, retailing for £45, and includes items from ESPA, Eucerin, Iconic London, Caudalie and more. Next up in the OK! Summer Beauty Box are two makeup products that work wonderfully in union - Trinny London's Golden Glow Bronzer and the Bellapierre All Eyes On You Eyeshadow Palette. Both are worth £25 individually, so the subscription is worth getting for just these two items alone, and they are ideal for a golden goddess summer beauty look. I applied the bronzer across my nose, forehead and the tops of my cheekbones and it gave me a sun-kissed finish. The eyeshadow quad allowed me to create a bronzed, smokey eye look, however, I could have done with a pale brown matte shade in the selection. I was pleasantly surprised to find removing the glitter eyeshadow quick and easy. Worth £20, the Hello Sunday The Take-Out One Invisible Sun Stick SPF30 really intrigued me as I'd never used a clear sunscreen product before. While I'm yet to test it out in high temperatures, I did pop it on for a sunny day in the UK and it felt lightweight and non-sticky. It'll be perfect for topping up areas prone to burning on holiday, such as the tops of shoulders and on the face. What's inside the OK! Summer Beauty Box? Hello Sunday The Take-Out One Invisible Sun Stick SPF30 - full size, worth £20 Gruum Solstaler After Sun Face Oil - full size, worth £15 Glow Core Gua Shua - full size, worth £10.80 Trinny London Golden Glow Bronzer in shade Naomi - full size, worth £25 KVD Beauty Tattoo Pencil Liner - travel size, worth £13 Nuxe Hulle Multi-Purpose Dry Oil - travel size, worth £4.40 Bondi Sands Tropical Rum Scent Body Moisturiser - full size, worth £5.99 Bellapierre Cosmetics All Eyes On You Eyeshadow Palette - full size, worth £25 Avant Reconstructing Keratin Complex Ultra Shine Hair Cream - travel size, worth £17 Mudmasky Glow-Up Cleanser - full size, worth £39.99 Balance Me Super Firming Body Oil - travel size, worth £12 Amphora Aromatics Mint and Deas Sea Salts Deep Cleansing Face Mask - full size, worth £14 Overall, the quality of the items included in the OK! Summer Beauty Box, versus the £49.99 price tag, makes for an exceptional bargain. For a cheaper option, consumers can consider the Boots Self Care Beauty Box priced at £34 but worth £137. Inside, expect delights from brands such as No7, Estee Lauder and Philip Kingsley. I would have liked to see a lip product in the OK! Beauty Box, however, I found the variation of products you receive meant I could stock up on most of my summer beauty essentials such as SPF, after-sun, moisturiser, body glow and more, in one. Each product felt really luxurious to use, so even testing them out at home I felt like I was already on holiday. With my travel toiletries bag now packed with Trinny London, Bondi Sands and Nuxe for less than £50, I feel ready to jet off in style.

Brits who once fumed at being ID'd are ‘delighted' to show proof of age once they turn 29, research shows
Find out what age most ID checks stop below PROVE IT Brits who once fumed at being ID'd are 'delighted' to show proof of age once they turn 29, research shows BRITS go from being annoyed at being ID'd to 'delighted' once they turn 29 years old, according to research. A poll of 2,000 adults revealed 43 per cent found it annoying to be asked for proof of age as a young adult. Advertisement 3 ID checks normally stop at an average age of 27 Credit: Will Ireland/PinPep 3 PopWorks and Malibu commissioned research revealing that 29 years old is the age in which people go from being disappointed to delighted at being ID'd Credit: Will Ireland/PinPep Yet 45 per cent of all adults - rising to 56 per cent of Millennials - would be delighted if they were to get ID'ed at their current age. But the average age the ID proof requests stop was around 27 years old – two years before the average age they'd like to still be asked. More than half (59 per cent) would be delighted if a shop assistant checked their age as it'd make them feel young, while 39 per cent admitted it boosts their confidence – and 30 per cent think it makes for a great story. While 12 per cent secretly love the drama of pulling out their formal identification. Advertisement With Millennials, those aged 28 to 44, the most likely to immediately start bragging to friends and family if it happened to them now (56 per cent compared to 36 per cent of Boomers). The research was commissioned by PopWorks, which in collaboration with Malibu, has created Pina Colada flavoured popped corn snacks - which the brand is cheekily asking customers to provide ID for before purchase. The snack brand took over the All Good Convenience Store in London's Victoria and asked customers of different ages to show ID for various items to see which age groups were disappointed - or delighted - to be asked. Maggie Saint John, from PopWorks, said: "It's funny how things change. Advertisement 'You hit a certain age - 29 to be exact - and suddenly being ID'd feels like a compliment, when many of us spent years before dreading it. 'But no matter your age, whether you love or hate flashing your ID, it's not an issue with our new popped corn snack, they're totally alcohol free.' Non-league club labelled 'absolute class' as they rock up to FA Cup tie in bizarre pina colada kit The new flavour comes after research revealed a Pina Colada is one of the top three go-to summer cocktails. With 54 per cent claiming the cocktail flavour reminds them of being on holiday.
