Hibs contract latest for season 2025/26
Some have been locked down more securely than the crown jewels. Others are, regardless of their contract status as signed-on employees of Hibernian Football Club, a good deal more loosely connected to their current employers. Hibs boss David Gray has made great play out of the importance of retaining key figures as he heads into his second season as Hibs boss. Which means sporting director Malky Mackay working overtime to do some sort of deal - whatever it takes, effectively - that would bring Nectar Triantis back to Easter Road for another season, at least. Over to Sunderland and the player himself on that one, right? With Rocky Bushiri and Junior Hoilett both effectively out of contract and considering their options, Hibs fans will know to expect a summer of some uncertainty. But the club HAVE tied down a number of key performers to long-term deals over the past year or so, avoiding the very prospect of over a dozen players entering free agency all at the same time. Here's how the squad looks at the moment, then, complete with contract details. If you've forgotten about one or two of the Hibs players loaned out last season, well, that's entirely forgivable. 1 . Rocky Bushiri – Up in the air Out of contract in a matter of days, Bushiri has been free to talk to other clubs since January. Named Players' Player of the Year by his team-mates, the big central defender has options in Belgium – and Egyptian club Zamalek had a bid knocked back by Hibs mid-season. A lot of factors at play here. | SNS Group Photo Sales 2 . Lewis Miller – Sticking around Aw yeah? Hibs triggering the one-year extension in his existing contract was a bit of a no-brainer. Versatile defender is here for another season at least. | SNS Group Photo Sales 3 . Jordan Smith – Long term deal signed Arrived as a back-up. Steadied the ship at a vital moment. Signed a new deal tying him to Hibs until 2028. Will probably face competition for a start as Hibs enter the market for another goalie this summer. | SNS Group Photo Sales 4 . Dylan Levitt – No movement Under contract until the end of next season. Might be one Hibs look to tie down, depending performances once the new campaign kicks off. | SNS Group Photo Sales

East Kilbride Rugby Club coach praises 'outstanding' star as he scoops two awards
Loose-head prop Alistair Marriott won big at the club's annual awards East Kilbride Rugby Club head coach Franklin Clark heaped praise on player of the year Alistair Marriott after the loose-head prop claimed two prizes at their annual awards night. Marriott won Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year in a season where the club reached the National Shield final and finished fifth in West Region One. Clark said: 'Ally has been absolutely outstanding in just about every game he has played. Everything you would want out of a guy as a rugby player, he brings it. "He does everything he is asked to do, he carries hard, he tackles hard and encourages all the other players. 'He is a model team-mate and player, so he thoroughly deserves both of his awards.' There were plenty of other awards handed out on the night, as scrum half Justin Ludick won Young Player of the Year after a fine first season since moving from South Africa to study. Clark said: 'Justin has had a great season. He is only a young kid who has come to Scotland this past year to study. He has fitted in really well and become an integral part of the team, so he has been really good. 'It has got to have been difficult for him, coming to a different country and trying to fit into a new team when he doesn't know anybody. 'He says he will stick around next season after he goes back home in the summer to see his family.' Most Improved Player went to Craig McKenzie and Clark said: 'Craig has just done everything asked of him. He is quite a good organiser in defence.' There was a joint award in the category of Top Try Scorer with Evan Martin and Ross McKeown sharing the prize, while Rory Blackwood won the Top Points award. Clark said: 'Both Evan and Ross have had great seasons. Evan probably would have scored more tries but he got injured. He got injured in the Shield semi-final and missed the final. "He only came back in our last game and he was determined to get two tries to finish top scorer, but he only managed the one. 'Ross has been immense. I think he has scored a try in just about every game he has played this season. He is full of heart and running, a great ball carrier, and just what we were needing this season.' Meanwhile, it was announced that Mark Ellison has decided to hang up his boots after 15 years and 200 appearances with the club, which included winning promotion to National League Three and captaining the side to their 2019 West Shield victory. He was presented with a special 200th cap to make the milestone and it was presented by Robert MacKinnon, who has been made honorary vice president for life following 23 years of service.

Jordan McGhee's Dundee departure confirmed as long-serving star says 'all good things must end'
Jordan McGhee says 'all good things must come to an end' after he said his goodbyes to Dundee FC. The 28-year-old spent six years at Dens Park and played under four managers, winning promotion twice. The former Hearts and Falkirk defender played 197 times for the Dark Blues, scoring 21 goals. McGhee was Dundee's Players' Player of the Year in his debut season for the club and this term won the Goal of the Season award for a fine strike at Dundee United. He played a key role in the 2020/21 promotion through the play-offs after being transformed into an effective box-to-box midfielder, scoring three goals across the semi-final and final. And in the past two Premiership seasons he has notched 10 goals for Dundee, including a double in the 4-2 win at Tannadice in March. The versatile defender is expected to join Motherwell this summer. 'All good things must come to an end,' McGhee said. 'I feel the time has come to move on and face a fresh challenge in my career. 'It's been a rollercoaster since I joined almost six years ago and what a journey it's been together. 'Thank you to all my teammates over the years, managers, the amazing staff behind the scenes and the fans for your continued support through the highs and lows. 'We've shared some amazing memories together. Ones that I'll never forget.'
