Dubai Police summer courses engage 1,332 students

2 Aug 2025 14:45 DUBAI (ALETIHAD)Dubai Police extended sincere thanks and appreciation to all its strategic partners for their invaluable contributions to the success of the student summer courses initiative significantly fostered skill and personality development, enhanced students' sense of security, kept them engaged during their free time, and instilled respect for laws and regulations and the values of loyalty and Khalid bin Muwaiza, Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, praised the efforts of all strategic partners involved in the Dubai Police Summer Programs. He underscored their essential support, which has contributed significantly to these seasonal events' continued success and remarkable growth. 'Their involvement has been instrumental in increasing student participation in the summer programs,' he Muwaiza emphasised the Dubai Police's unwavering commitment to supporting and organising summer programmes and activities for school students at the close of the academic year. He pointed out that these activities and programmes aim to effectively utilise students' time while fostering a strong sense of belonging to their national identity.'They promote respect for the law, instill loyalty to wise leadership, and cultivate a generation of informed youth aware of significant issues and risks. This proactive approach equips students to navigate challenges responsibly and professionally, helping them avoid potential pitfalls and legal consequences,' Bin Muwaiza said this year's Summer Courses Programme engaged 1,332 students, including 776 boys and 556 girls from 28 nationalities.'Among the participants, 870 were citizens and 462 were expatriates. This marks an 18% increase in overall participation, a 33% rise in the number of centers, and a 13% growth in the diversity of nationalities represented,' he added. 16 Training CentresIn addition, the Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics indicated that students enrolled in the summer courses programme participated in training sessions and courses across 16 training centers. The official highlighted the diverse activities and programmes in this year's offerings, including 36 engaging training programmes catering to various interests, including the Young Investigator Course, Diving, Swimming, Military and Fitness Training, Future Officers, 901 Call Centre Training, K9 Police Dogs Course, Cycling Course, Horse Care Course, K9 Care and Welfare Programe, in addition to awareness lectures and field visits.
