Britney Spears sparks concern with off-key rendition of Prince song in bizarre video from disheveled mansion

Britney Spears has sparked concern over her off-key rendition of a Prince song as well as her messy home in a new Instagram clip shared on Monday. The 43-year-old songstress - who recently suffered a wardrobe malfunction in a peekaboo dress - filmed herself wearing a skimpy ensemble and showed off her vocal skills to her 41.8 million followers. The Baby One More Time hitmaker belted out lyrics to her own rendition of Prince's song Kiss, although her tone appeared off-key at some moments. At one point, Britney could be heard singing, 'I don't know who I am, oh, oh,' while adjusting a large light next to her camera. She wore a brown bralette top that had a white polka dot pattern as well as a plunging neckline on the front. The songstress completed her look by slipping into a pair of mini white shorts and black knee-high boots. Clutter could be seen in the spacious living room behind her, and towards the end of the clip an adorable pup strutted behind Britney in the background. In the caption, the singer penned to her fans: 'I would say, Julia Roberts singing Prince's "Kiss" off key a touch, but I sounded really good behind the lens lol!!! 'PSS Wise a**es, I do know who I am !!!' she added, referencing to the lyrics she had been singing. 'I have eight different languages written on my neck ... these are my pjs, but I put these boots on to play with lighting ... not the most elegant look but hey!!!' In a second video also shared on Monday, the performer explained that she was in the midst of cleaning her abode but decided to take a quick break. Britney also belted out some more vocals for her followers as she adjusted the camera and lighting. 'Messing around with lighting and cleaning my house like no tomorrow,' the star wrote in the caption. Britney rarely sings in her social media clips, and instead will showcase her dance moves. At one point, Britney could be heard singing, 'I don't know who I am, oh, oh,' while adjusting a large light next to her camera Most recently, the Toxic songstress donned a very revealing gold minidress that had a large cutout around the bust area in a reel shared last week. But as she moved in front of the camera, the star suffered numerous nip slips - but made sure to add flower emojis for coverage. It comes not long after Britney's ex Sam Asghari took a swipe at the star's ex-husband Kevin Federline as he prepares to release a tell-all memoir titled You Thought You Knew. The Gimme More hitmaker was previously married to Sam from 2022 until their divorce was finalized last year. In December 2024, the pop singer was declared legally single. Britney also tied the knot with Kevin in 2004 until their split in 2007. The former couple are parents to sons Sean Preston, 19, and Jayden, 18. While out in Los Angeles earlier this month, Sam shared his thoughts about Kevin's book while talking to TMZ. 'Well, he was a professional father so he would be a great... it would be the first book that'll tell you how to be a professional father.' The actor was possibly making a reference to the child support payments Kevin had been receiving from Britney for their two sons - which officially ended in November 2024 when Jayden turned 18. Sam has previously voiced support for Britney, such as earlier this year in January when he reflected on the 'darker side of Hollywood.' While talking to Page Six, he said: 'You have to be careful in every industry. Not just in Hollywood. You have to always be careful and protect yourself and protect the people that you love.' In regards to his ex-wife, the star added, 'I just wish her the best. I think that the number one factor of a partner is to be there for one another, no matter what. It comes not long after Britney's ex Sam Asghari took a swipe at the star's ex-husband Kevin Federline as he prepares to release a tell-all memoir titled You Thought You Knew; Kevin and Britney seen in 2005 in Hollywood 'Well, he was a professional father so he would be a great... it would be the first book that'll tell you how to be a professional father,' Sam told TMZ; seen in 2024 in Las Vegas 'There's never ever a need to take advantage of anybody. We all go through this life and we go through different chapters and you meet people along the way and they are a big part of your life.' Sam continued, 'You're just always thankful for every moment that you spent with people in the past.' Since his divorce from the pop singer, Sam has been romantically linked to Brooke Irvine. After Kevin announced his upcoming memoir, fans of Britney slammed her ex-husband - who will open up about their 'highly publicized marriage.' One penned, 'So, no one would buy his story, so he thinks people want to hear him read his notes app life story?' And over on Reddit, another said, 'That child support dried up realllllll quick,' while one added, 'His timing tells you everything.'

Browzwear Acquires AI-generated Model Maker Lalaland.ai

As AI and innovative technology are edging more into the fashion industry, Browzwear, a digital product creation specialist, has acquired a maker of AI‑generated fashion models. The deal broadens Browzwear's artificial intelligence capabilities and expands reach through Browzwear's 'thousands' of brand, retailer and manufacturer customers globally. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company creates diverse models based on demographics and varying body types. As designers, manufacturers and retailers are blending physical and digital processes, some are doing so to try to reduce costs, payrolls and overhead. Others are using more innovative technology to engage with consumers in different ways and to try to improve product development and quality. On July 24, Google debut an AI feature for users in the U.S. to try on clothes virtually via the billions of apparel styles in its Shopping Graph across Search, Google Shopping and even product results on Google Images. The Amsterdam-based is meant to offer users faster design‑to‑market turnaround times, reduce physical sampling, reduce waste for sustainability purposes, and align with Browzwear's mission to help customers 'Trust the Twin, Approve the Twin, Make the Twin.' Founded in Singapore, Browzwear has offices in New York, and internationally. That concept doesn't always land well with shoppers. After Guess ran a two-page ad in Vogue recently that noted it had been 'Produced by Seraphinne Vallora on AI,' some critics weighed in. Earlier this month, H&M used generative AI to drop its first set of images featuring digital twins set against fashion capitals. Mango has also used AI to generate models and the campaign. In a statement, founder and chief executive officer Michael Musandu said, 'With immediate access to Browzwear's massive customer base, we can scale our mission of making fashion more inclusive, sustainable, and lightning‑fast, while helping Browzwear become the industry's first truly AI‑first platform.' In turn, Browzwear's CEO Greg Hanson said, 'Our customers want absolute confidence in their digital twins. Lalaland's hyper‑realistic, diverse AI models supercharge that trust and dramatically cut the time between concept and commerce.' As part of the deal, Musandu and the rest of his tech team are being brought in-house, so AI scientists and engineers are teaming up with Browzwear's research and development to generative fit models, automated imagery pipelines and other aspects. The increased 3D‑AI automation is designed to speed up Browzwear's efforts to be 'idea‑to‑digital‑twin in minutes.' The digital product creation platform Browzwear caters to fashion brands and manufacturers to strive to accurately speed up how they design, develop and merchandise garments. Gucci Faces Union Dispute in Italy Over 2025 Welfare Benefits

MILAN — Italian trade unions are taking aim at Gucci for allegedly breaching promises made to about 1,000 of its employees in Italy on welfare benefits for 2025. The Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs unions have proclaimed a state of unrest on behalf of the Gucci employees active in retail and logistics operations, claiming that the luxury company has allegedly refused to distribute welfare packages that are part of their employment contract. The welfare package was introduced under the collective supplementary agreement signed in July 2022 and expired on Dec. 31, 2024. Trade unions claim it is still to be beyond its term for the principle of 'continued application.' Gucci representatives did not return WWD's repeated requests for comment on Tuesday. 'The company, through what can only be described as a wholly instrumental behavior, has done nothing but waste valuable time, mocking the commitment of the workers who show up every day in the stores and who had been waiting — and continue to wait — for the welfare package,' a statement jointly issued by the unions read. 'We consider the company's conduct to be extremely serious. For this reason, we are declaring a nationwide state of industrial unrest, with potential trade union actions to be announced locally,' the unions said. Gucci is in the midst of a turnaround attempt as it awaits the debut of its new creative director Demna, who is to show his first designs for the Italian house on Sept. 23 during Milan Fashion Week. As reported, the brand won't stage a runway show until March 2026, with the September presentation intended more as a reminder of Gucci's foundations, to be accompanied by a sprinkling of see now, buy now products in stores. In the second quarter of 2025, Gucci's organic sales dropped 25 percent versus the same period last year, weighing on the overall performance of parent company Kering. In the three months to June 31 group sales fell 18 percent at reported exchange rates to 3.70 billion euros, representing a decline of 15 percent in comparable terms. Kering said that net profit plummeted 46 percent in the first half of the year as sales at its cash-cow brand Gucci continued to drop, highlighting the challenges faced by incoming group chief executive officer Luca de Meo when he takes the reins in September. In the first half of the year, Gucci trimmed its store count by 18 units, as part of a broader retail rationalization process implemented by Kering across its brands, which will see a total of 80 store closures in 2025, up from the 50 announced at the start of the year. As part of deepening cost-cutting measures, Kering reduced its overall headcount by 4 percent year-to-date. Staffing levels at Gucci are 22 percent below their 2022 peak, the French group said.
