Rowdy-sheeter externed to Dharwad

Kalaburagi: A externment order was issued on Tuesday for Prabhuling Rachaiah Swamy, 32, a rowdy-sheeter associated with Chowk police station in the city. He was transferred to the jurisdiction of Sub-Urban (Sub-City) police station in Dharwad district. Prabhuling, a resident of Suvarna Nagar, was involved in a total of seven cases filed against him from 2011 to 2024. These include five cases at Chowk police station and two at Station Bazaar police station. The order stated, "The accused is a habitual offender, and an 'A' rowdy-sheet is open against him, which is currently active." DCP Kanika Sikriwal, who also serves as the special executive magistrate, noted in the order, "The accused is involved in serious offences such as murder, attempted murder, extortion, rape, and illegal activities across various police stations, including Kalaburagi city. He is also a key suspect in cases that disrupt public peace and threaten law and order.
