HYDERABAD: In a major step towards transforming public education, the Education department has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with several prominent national and international NGOs to provide advanced EdTech-based learning solutions free of cost to students in government schools. The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. With the vision of enhancing the quality of education in the state, the government has entered into collaborations with six reputed organisations to introduce cutting-edge educational technologies in public schools. These include EkStep Foundation, led by Nandan Nilekani, Prajwala Foundation, headed by Sunitha Krishnan, Physics Wallah, led by Alakh Pandey, Khan Academy, PiJam Foundation, founded by Shoaib Dar and Educate Girls, led by Safeena Husain. Revolutionary change The Chief Minister's Office said: 'Enchanted by the welfare and development programmes implemented by the People's Government, these organisations came forward and joined hands with the government. The decision to seek the help of noted organisations was taken in line with the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's idea of improving educational standards in the state. The state government strongly believes that partnering with India's renowned organisations will bring a revolutionary change in the education sector in the country.' The EkStep Foundation is currently working in 540 schools with an artificial intelligence-based platform. Now, the organisation will offer services in more than 5,000 primary schools in 33 districts. The organisation helps with Telugu and English languages as well as Maths basics from Class 3 to 5. Physics Wallah will provide coaching to Inter students in preparing for NEET, JEE and CLAT exams. It will also provides free training to students from the school level for competitive exams.

Hyderabad: The State Education Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide advanced technology based teaching services free of charge to students in government schools. This significant initiative will introduce state of the art EdTech facilities through collaboration with six prominent organisations recognised both nationally and internationally. The MOU was formally signed with several well known organisations, including the Exstep Foundation, led by Nandan Nilekani; the Prajwala Foundation, headed by Dr Sunita Krishnan; Physics Wala, led by Alak Pandey; Khan Academy; the Pi Jam Foundation, founded by Shoaib Dar; and Educate Girls, led by Safina Hussain. The Telangana Education Department stated on Sunday that the state government believes this partnership can bring about transformative changes in the state's education sector. This move aligns directly with the Chief Minister's vision to enhance educational quality. The government's ongoing initiatives have reportedly attracted these organisations to collaborate with the state. The Exstep Foundation will initially operate in 540 schools, utilising an artificial intelligence based platform, with plans to expand its reach to over 5,000 primary schools across 33 districts. This foundation offers instruction in Telugu and English, as well as basic Mathematics for students in classes 3 to 5. Physics Wala will prepare intermediate students for competitive examinations such as NEET, JEE, and CLAT, providing free training from the school level. Khan Academy offers video based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education aligned with the curriculum for students in classes 6 to 10. The Prajwala Foundation, under the leadership of Dr Sunita Krishnan, will implement child safety and protection programmes for students from class 6 to class 12 throughout the state. Pi Jam Foundation will provide training in coding and computational thinking to students from classes 1 to 10. Educate Girls has a proven track record, having successfully enrolled over 16,000 out of school children, significantly enhancing literacy and educational opportunities for girls in the state. Government Advisor K Kesava Rao, Education Secretary Yogitharana, Chief Minister's Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, School Education Director Narasimha Reddy, Director of School Education Naveen Nicholas, Education Department Special Secretary Haritha, as well as leaders from the partnering organisations participated in the signing ceremony. These included Xstep Foundation CEO Jagadish Babu, Prajwala Foundation Chief Dr Sunita Krishnan, Physics Wala Co Founder Prateek Maheshwari, Khan Academy India MD Swati Vasudevan, Pi Jam Foundation Founder Shoaib Dar, and Educate Girls CEO Gayatri Nair Lobo.

Hyderabad: The Telangana govt on Sunday signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with six NGOs, including Nandan Nilekani's EkStep Foundation and Alakh Pandey's Physics Wallah, to provide govt school students across the state free AI-powered learning platform and coaching for competitive exams such as NEET, JEE and CLAT. The MoUs were signed between the department of education and the NGOs in the presence of chief minister A Revanth Reddy. Apart from EkStep Foundation and Physics Wallah the govt will collaborate with Sunitha Krishnan's Prajwala Foundation, Khan Academy, Shoaib Dar's Pi Jam Foundation and Safina Hussain's Educate Girls. CM Revanth Reddy said the MoU aims to introduce technology-enabled teaching solutions, entirely free of cost. "This initiative is part of the state govt's vision to enhance access to quality education for underprivileged students. By partnering with reputed organisations, we hope to bring about transformative change in education. We are laying the foundation for a knowledge-driven future," he said. "These partnerships reflect our commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in this digital age. The govt firmly believes that collaborating with India's leading educational organisations will bring about a revolutionary improvement in educational standards both within the state and across the country," he added. Under the agreement, the EkStep Foundation will expand its AI-driven learning platform from 540 schools to more than 5,000 primary schools across all 33 districts. The platform offers multilingual foundational learning in Telugu, English and Mathematics for pupils in Classes 3 to 5. Physics Wallah will provide free, high-quality coaching for competitive examinations including NEET, JEE, and CLAT to govt students at the Intermediate level, with an emphasis on early preparation during school years. Khan Academy will deliver curriculum-aligned, video-based instruction in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects for classes 6 to 10, enabling students to learn at their own pace. The Prajwala Foundation will implement comprehensive child safety and protection programmes aimed at students from classes 6 to 12. The Pi Jam Foundation will offer training in coding and computational thinking for students in classes 1 to 10, fostering digital literacy and problem-solving skills from an early age. Educate Girls, which has already facilitated the enrolment of over 16,000 out-of-school children in Telangana, will continue to focus on improving literacy among girls.

The initiative is part of the State government's vision to enhance accessibility to quality education for underprivileged students. Among the six organisations collaborating with the State are Nandan Nilekani-led EkStep Foundation, Sunita Krishnan's Prajwala Foundation, Alakh Pandey's Physics Wala, Khan Academy, Shoaib Dar's Pi Jam Foundation, and Safina Hussain's Educate Girls. As part of the MoU, the EkStep Foundation will expand its AI-powered learning platform from 540 schools to over 5,000 primary schools in all 33 districts. Prajwala Foundation will launch comprehensive child safety and protection programmes targeting students from Classes 6 to 12. Pi Jam Foundation will impart training in coding and computational thinking for students from Class 1 to 10, nurturing problem-solving and digital skills from a young age. Educate Girls has already facilitated the enrolment of over 16,000 out-of-school children in Telangana. The organisation will continue its focus on improving literacy among girls and promoting gender equity in education. Expressing his government's commitment, Mr. Revanth Reddy said that leveraging partnerships with reputed organisations will bring about transformative change in education. 'We are laying the foundation for a knowledge-based future. These partnerships reflect our commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in this digital age,' he said. Government Advisor K. Kesava Rao, Education Secretary Yogita Rana, CM's Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, School Education Director Narasimha Reddy and representatives of the partnering organisations were present.
