Glasgow BMW driver caught with cocaine and weed in his socks

Jaffet Pran, 23, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court earlier this week after he pleaded guilty to six charges, including driving without insurance, consent from the owner and having drugs in his possession. First, he was busted by police on January 29, last year, when he took a grey BMW while the owner - whom he knew - was sleeping. Cops spotted him in the city's Calton and checks revealed that the vehicle was uninsured. Pran, of Shawlands, left the car and walked towards Glasgow Green. When officers spoke to him, he admitted: "He doesn't know I took the car'. The 23-year-old appeared nervous, so he was detained and searched. Two small packets of white powder were found in his jacket pocket and five bags of cannabis in his left sock. Later, this was revealed to be 14.6g of cocaine worth £350-800 and 17.5g of cannabis, with a value of £100-200. Then, Pran was busted again in Dennistoun on September 12, 2024. Officers spoke to him and noted that the car was not insured, so he was arrested and taken to Cathcart police station. His blood tested positive for THC, the main psychoactive compound in cannabis.
