Pranav Gopal and Metropolitan Commissioner K.S. Viswanathan. The key features of the proposed cities will have dedicated themes and zones. Each city will focus on a specific theme, attracting targeted investments and talent pools; smart infrastructure created with a focus on sustainability, technology, and citizen well-being; employment hubs to catalyse job creation and entrepreneurship in focused sectors; green and blue economy with a focus on eco-conscious designs, renewable energy, and integrated water management; and cultural integration, reflecting the ethos of Andhra Pradesh through local art, crafts, and community spaces. 'Visakhapatnam's natural harbour, good connectivity, and geopolitical significance make it an ideal choice for this innovation-driven urban model. The initiative is expected to attract domestic and foreign investments, generate over 5 lakh to 6 lakh jobs, and enhance the quality of life for the denizens,' Mr. Viswanathan said. 'The project will be developed through public-private partnerships, and hybrid models, with support from national and international urban planning experts, architects, building structural designers and many engineers from various knowledge sectors. Environmental sustainability, inclusivity, and community participation will be integral throughout the planning and execution stages,' Mr. Pravan Gopal added.
