Gumla admin to resolve land and revenue issues at circle offices

1 2 Gumla: The Gumla district administration rolled out 'Anchal Diwas' to address land and revenue issues at the circle office so that rural residents do not have to travel to the district headquarters, saving time and money. Chairing a meet at the Ghaghra circle office on Saturday, DC Prerna Dixit resolved 61 land and revenue-related matters. A total of 102 representations were put forth by the people. Out of 22 cases of land disputes, 11 were resolved. Additionally, eight land reports, two land verification reports, one out of six register-II correction, three family lists, 24 out of 39 caste, income, and residential certificates, and five other issues were solved, officials said. "Nearly 80% of the grievances that are received during public hearings are related to land issues — mutations, possession certificates, boundary disputes among others. People from remote villages, including elderly, women, and daily wagers were forced to travel to the district headquarters even for minor services. Hence, we took governance to the doorsteps to connect with the public at the tehsil level," she added. Similar camps would be regularly held at all circle offices, she stated.
