Indore: Two minor siblings were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their rented house in Dhancha Bhavan area of Dewas on Saturday morning. Their mother, Priya Yadav, found them motionless when she tried to wake them up for school. They were rushed to Sanskar Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead. Industrial Area police station in charge Shashikant Chaurasia said that a team was dispatched to the scene to begin an investigation. "The case is suspicious and the exact cause of death will only be known after we receive postmortem examination report," he said. Priya Yadav informed police that she had a love marriage with Vishnu Katara. But they separated two years ago due to disputes. She moved to Dewas for work after sometime. She recalled that on Friday night, she and her three-year-old daughter Nisha and seven-year-old son Hemant attended a neighbour's birthday party where they ate cake and dal-bati. The children played with others before they all returned home and went to bed. Around 2 am, she noticed that her son, Hemant fell off the bed and she picked him up and placed him back on the bed. Chaurasia said that they were looking into all possible angles to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident. On July 17, the children were enrolled in a private school. They attended the school only for a few days and remained absent thereafter. The mother also submitted incomplete documentation for their admission, the police said. INDORE: Suspicion surrounds the deaths of a seven-year-old boy and his three-year-old sister, who were found unresponsive in their bed on Saturday morning. The children had attended a birthday party with their mother the night before and went to sleep as usual. Their mother, Priya Yadav, discovered them motionless when she tried to wake them for school. They were rushed to Sanskar Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. The incident took place in the Dhancha Bhavan area of Dewas, where Priya , originally from Mathura, had been living in a rented house. According to neighbours Reena and her husband Rakesh, Priya woke them around 7 am, panicked and crying, saying her children, Nisha (3) and Hemant (7), who had slept beside her, were not waking up. Industrial Area Police Station In-charge Shashikant Chaurasia confirmed that a police team was sent to the spot to begin the investigation. "The case is suspicious, and the exact cause of death will only be known after we receive the post-mortem report," he said. They attended for a few days but had been absent since. Police also noted that the admission documents submitted by the mother were incomplete. The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem. Given the suspicious circumstances, TI Chaurasia stated that a team of doctors has been assigned to conduct the examination. He added that further steps will depend on the post-mortem findings and other evidence gathered.
