Jaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma invited Union home and cooperation minister Amit Shah to inaugurate the proposed 'Cooperation Conference' in Rajasthan on the occasion of the International Year of Cooperatives. During his meeting with the home minister on Thursday, Sharma provided detailed information to Shah about the progress and innovations in the cooperative sector in Rajasthan. He discussed topics related to the computerisation of PACS, Mhaaro Khata Mhaaro Bank, Gopal Credit Card Scheme, and the Prosperity through Cooperation campaign. Additionally, the CM expressed gratitude to Shah for the successful implementation of 54 initiatives started under the Prosperity through Cooperation campaign. Sharma also met union housing and urban affairs and power minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday. Sharma had a detailed discussion on drainage development, water availability, metro expansion, easy transport facilities, and various means of power generation and supply in Rajasthan. The CM discussed with the union minister the expansion of urban transport services and the provision of easy transport facilities in various districts of the state. He also had an extensive conversation about approving the Jaipur Metro Project - Phase II under the joint venture model and the prompt release of central assistance. Sharma requested Khattar to approve the DPR of Rs 1,368 crore under the RDSS project for the management of electricity supply to agricultural consumers during the day by Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The CM requested the minister to instruct CTUIL, CEA, MNRE, and other related organisations to take necessary actions on a priority basis for the rapid implementation of 115 gigawatt projects in Rajasthan and to develop a transmission system for the evacuation of an additional 50 gigawatts of renewable energy. Sharma also met union railway, information and broadcasting, and electronics and information technology minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. During this meeting, they discussed the expansion of the railway network for the convenience of citizens and industrial development. Various topics related to strengthening digital connectivity and promoting innovation in the information and broadcasting sector were also discussed. Additionally, Sharma met union coal and mines minister G. Kishan Reddy. They discussed the sustainable development of mineral resources, investment opportunities, strengthening infrastructure related to the mining sector, and coal supply for power plants.
