James Haskell's major body transformation as he makes Chloe Madeley split admission
James Haskell's major body transformation as he makes Chloe Madeley split admission The England international has been putting in the hours in the gym James Haskell and Chloe Madeley pictured in 2022 (Image: 2022 Max Mumby/Indigo ) Former England international James Haskell has undergone a major body transformation. The ex-flanker, who won 77 caps for his country, has been rehabbing from a shoulder injury and going through a difficult period personally, following his separation from ex-wife Chloe Madeley and the recent passing of his father. It seems the DJ and podcaster has been channelling his efforts into his exercise regime, with Haskell juggling his numerous other exploits with a fitness plan to get into incredible shape. Posting on Instagram, he explained that his injury - sustained during a gaffe filming his rugby podcast - had made things more challenging. "When Sarah @roarfitnessgirl first mentioned doing something with ROAR, I jumped at the chance," he wrote. "I knew their reputation for delivering serious body transformations and I was ready for the challenge. "Working with James and the team took it to another level. I'd done shoots before FHM, Gay Times, Attitude, GQ but never trained for them. I'd just wandered in off the pitch. This time, I wanted to see how lean I could really get. I'd just turned 40 it all lined up perfectly. "But I loved every bit of it. ROAR @roarfitnessldn built a plan around me my goals, my injuries, my madness. They kept me focused, challenged me, and saw me through. "If you want serious results and a team that knows exactly how to get you there ROAR is the one. Can't wait to take on the next challenge. Let's see how far we can go. @jamescastlemason." Haskell recently revealed one of the main reasons why his marriage with Chloe broke down. The pair split in 2023 after five years of wedlock. Drinking was a big factor, Haskell admitted. "If I put more time into my marriage than I did Guinness, then I wouldn't be divorced now," he confessed to MailOnline while at Pub in the Park festival in west London. "It's one of those things in life where some things don't work out, but I have so much love for my daughter and Chloe. It's teamwork." "What we all forget is when you have children and a marriage finishes, it's all about the kids," he added. "Chloe and I are amazing co-parents. Our priority is always Bodhi." Chloe previously refused to delve into the reasons for their separation, saying she wanted to protect Bodhi from the "dark and painful experiences" she went through. Speaking to The Sun, she said: "When you tell people that you are divorcing, everyone sees it as such a negative thing," before clarifying: "They say: 'This is going to be so hard for you.' And, yes, it is, but the hardest bit was when we were married." Article continues below She also revealed that "the last year of the marriage was awful" adding: "It was so dark, painful, and one of the worst periods of my life. It's a good thing we ended it."

‘I visited the ultimate foodie heaven at a London park and left sunburnt but smiling'
I spent my Saturday in a proper foodie paradise. Pub in the Park rolled into Gunnersbury Park for the first time, and I was there for the daytime session. If you like top-tier pub grub, decent live music and a strong cocktail under the sun, it was absolutely the place to be. This was my third time at Pub in the Park, but my first visit to this new London location. Gunnersbury turned out to be an ideal setting. Open and green, well kept, easy to get around, and just far enough from traffic to feel like a proper escape. The sun turned up too. Let's talk food. That's what you're there for. Dozens of top pubs and restaurants dishing up small-plate versions of their signature dishes, served fast but cooked with real care. The idea is you don't just have one meal – you try a few, compare notes, and eat your way across the field like a very lucky critic with no deadlines. First up for me was The Pig's Ear's crispy buttermilk chicken with coronation crème fraîche. It sounded a bit experimental but completely nailed it – crisp coating, juicy meat, and a sharp, creamy sauce that somehow didn't feel out of place. (Image: Amy Clarke) My friend picked the Madras-spiced cauliflower from Guy Ritchie's Lore of the Land. Topped with lime pickle mayo and a poppadom crunch, it had serious depth. We followed that with a chicken tortilla from Tom Kerridge's. Simple, solid, and just what we needed to reset the palate. Dishes weren't huge, but that's part of the experience. You're not sitting down to a Sunday roast. You're roaming, tasting, mixing it up. READ MORE: We caught Simon the Butcher at the fire pit stage doing a live demo. Proper knives, proper heat, and a good bit of showmanship. Over in the M&S Food Village we stumbled into a tomato cooking session, focused on Isle of Wight varieties. I had an incredible whiskey cocktail from a stand called Monkey Shoulder – strong, well balanced, and ice-cold. Plenty of craft options, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic alternatives dotted around. The music kicked off gently. I caught the end of Pandora's club classics set – think 90s and early 2000s floor-fillers. (Image: Amy Clarke) Norman Jay followed with a smooth run of soul and funk that suited the weather perfectly. Soul II Soul were the big draw, and they didn't disappoint. The field in front of the stage filled up fast, and when Back to Life dropped, everyone got involved. The crowd was spot on. A proper mix of ages. Families with kids running around the fairground rides, groups of mates chasing cocktails, couples sunbathing between sets. A few very relaxed dogs. No aggro. No posing. Just happy people eating, drinking and making the most of the sunshine. I had a VIP pass this year, which meant access to a quieter seating area, a decent view of the stage, and a couple of extras like private tastings. Nothing too fancy, but it gave us a good base to regroup and rest our feet. At one point, I realised I'd forgotten sun cream and was already going a bit pink. I asked one of the security staff if they had any – they didn't, but about half an hour later he found me again with another member of staff who handed some over. (Image: Amy Clarke) That kind of gesture says a lot. Friendly, thoughtful and not something you get at every big event. Before heading out, we hit the dodgems which were surprisingly brutal. Easily one of the most fun bits of the day. There was also a vintage Ferris wheel and plenty of fairground stalls, adding to the old-school summer fair feel. By the time we left in the late afternoon, we had spoken to a number of people who had decided they were going to stay for evening session but for me, the daytime slot was enough. I'd eaten well, danced a bit, learned a few things about tomatoes and wine, and had a brilliant day in a corner of London I rarely visit. Pub in the Park knows what it's doing. The food's the star, but the festival around it creates this perfect summertime atmosphere. I'll be back next year, with a hat, sun cream and even more appetite.

James Haskell finally admits the true reason Chloe Madeley left 'dark' marriage
James Haskell finally admits the true reason Chloe Madeley left 'dark' marriage James Haskell has admitted his drinking was one of the reasons his marriage to Chloe Madeley broke down, after she said the months leading up to their split were "dark and painful" James Haskell and Chloe Madeley (Image: GETTY ) James Haskell has revealed the truth behind his divorce from Chloe Madeley, describing the end of their marriage as "awful" and "dark". The former England rugby player split from personal trainer Madeley, who is the daughter of television personalities Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, in 2023, five years after the were married. Initially, they decided to keep the reasons for their separation private, but Madeley later described the time leading up to their parting as "incredibly scary". Haskell has now spoken out, admitting his drinking was the key factor in their split. "If I put more time into my marriage than I did Guinness, then I wouldn't be divorced now," he confessed to MailOnline while at Pub in the Park festival in west London. "It's one of those things in life where some things don't work out, but I have so much love for my daughter and Chloe. It's teamwork." Their daughter Bodhi was just one year old at the time of their breakup, which was announced in a joint statement. Article continues below "What we all forget is when you have children and a marriage finishes, it's all about the kids," he added. "Chloe and I are amazing co-parents. Our priority is always Bodhi." Madeley previously refused to delve into the reasons for her divorce, expressing that she wanted to protect her child, Bodhi, from the "dark and painful experiences" she went through. Speaking to The Sun, she remarked: "When you tell people that you are divorcing, everyone sees it as such a negative thing," before clarifying: "They say: 'This is going to be so hard for you.' And, yes, it is, but the hardest bit was when we were married." She candidly shared that "the last year of the marriage was awful" adding: "It was so dark, painful, and one of the worst periods of my life. It's a good thing we ended it." Haskell has also spoken about the recent death of his father, Jonathan, which was announced on Saturday after a long illness. He said: 'We have lost the cornerstone of our faamily. He was an amazing man. He always encouraged me to work. 'Every time I said to him, 'Shall I take a day off?' he would rather I worked.' The announcement of Haskell and Madeley's separation came via a joint statement from Madeley and Haskell in October 2023, following their appearance on the ITV show Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair. They declared: "Chloe and I mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023," further stating, "We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand." Chloe Madeley and James Haskell (Image: Neil Mockford ) She went on to affirm: "Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time." The couple emphasised their daughter's wellbeing, saying: "Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love." In February 2023, Madeley disclosed that she returned to her job as a personal trainer merely eight weeks post childbirth due to financial necessity. The fitness expert, who gave birth to her daughter in August 2022, stated that despite her then-husband's substantial earnings, they didn't have a joint account and her sense of "pride" propelled her back to work. Article continues below Haskell has also revealed he's now single, having dated advertising executive Helen Barclay and Big Brother star Sara McLean, 35, earlier this year. The sportsman said he's not currently on the search for his next partner, insisting his priority is "being the best dad in the best order". Haskell split from Sara in March - two days after going public with their relationship.

Women and schoolgirl hit by suspected drinks spike
A man has described his wife's "horrendous experience" of suffering convulsions and falling unconscious after a suspected drink spiking at a festival. Lucy Hazlem, 45, is one of three people – including a schoolgirl – believed to have been drugged on Friday while at Pub in the Park festival in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. "It's no fault of anybody at Pub in the Park: you can't police against people who have these awful intentions," said Lucy's husband Rob Hazlem. Pub in the Park said it took the matter "very seriously" and was working with authorities and its own security teams to try to identify any perpetrators. Thames Valley Police confirmed it was investigating two incidents. It said there had been officers at the festival and asked people to report any instance of drink spiking or suspicious activity. Mr Hazlem, 52, said his wife had been sharing a carafe of wine with friends "over a period of hours" at the music and food festival on Friday evening. He said: "She left feeling absolutely fine. She was walking back to her friend's house when she started to feel a lot more drunk that she was. "She went to the bathroom, then staggered into a unit and went down within seconds." Lucy's friends called him after she was "violently sick" many times. He said: "When I arrived she had fallen unconscious, so we put her in a bed. You think 'it must be alcohol', but I thought, 'this is not her – something has happened'." Mr Hazlem said Lucy "took a turn for the worse" and had suffered "convulsions". An ambulance crew suggested she might be having a stroke and took her to hospital. He said: "She was unresponsive for several hours, then about 05:30 BST the doctor said her stats were fine." "It was absolutely horrible to see my wife in that state". The BBC has seen two further reports of a woman and girl suffering similar effects after attending the festival. A woman, who did not want to be named, posted on social media to say her adult daughter had been "spiked" and taken to hospital where she was "unconscious" for five hours. "She's careful with her drinks, so must be a skilled person," the woman wrote. A WhatsApp message shared in a group for parents at a school said a Year 11 student had been given a "spiked drink" by an older man, leaving her "severely drugged and tranquilised". Thames Valley Police said: "At the festival a man offered a teenage girl a drink which she accepted and then walked away. "A short while later she became unwell and walked to the medical tent. The incident was reported and an investigation is ongoing." It said it was also investigating Lucy's case but had not received any further reports around spiking. A spokesperson for Pub in the Park said: "We are aware of these incidents that occurred on Friday night. "We have been working with the police, local authorities and our own security and health and safety teams to try and identify any perpetrators." Mr Hazlem wanted to urge people to be extra vigilant about the risks of spiking. "Lucy was fortunate to have friends able to take care of her before I could get there," he said. "There was no way my wife could have done anything for herself." He added: "Pub in the Park has been a fantastic family fun day and evening out. You don't expect that type of thing to happen at a small town event." Follow Beds, Herts and Bucks news on BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram and X. Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt replaced as he launches exciting project
Donal Skehan was on hand to replace Matt Tebbutt as he hosted Saturday Kitchen today (May 17) Saturday Kitchen had to go on without its usual host Matt Tebbutt this Saturday (17th May), as the telly favourite was tied up with an exciting new venture. In his place, fans saw Irish culinary star Donal Skehan take the reins, thrilled to step in for Matt. The unexpected hosting switch was flagged up just before airtime by the Women In the Food Industry X (previously Twitter) account. Joining Donal for this edition were wine expert Olly Smith, cookbook maestro Rukmini Iyer, and the beloved Ruth Jones of Gavin and Stacey fame. Matt Tebbutt's regulars need not fret; he's not under the weather but embroiled in launching a mouth-watering food initiative this week, reports the Express. Just the day prior, Matt had hopped onto Instagram to share news that he was buzzing in Marlow at the launch of Pub in the Park, mingling with friends. His post showed off a charming photo and the caption: "Launching @pubinthepark for 2025 at #marlow Great to catch up with @candicebrown and @ @thegreenmaneversholt @margoswoburn @58andco." Due to pre-commitments, Matt couldn't be part of today's live morning shoot for Saturday Kitchen. However, viewers were still treated to a fab line-up as Donal chatted with Ruth Jones about her latest book By Your Side, while the audience decided if she'd enjoy food heaven or endure food hell. Ruth was hopeful for a heavenly honey-roasted chicken, even if there lingered the threat of facing down her gastronomic nightmare - spicy Mexican beef tacos accompanied by a chilli-laden watermelon salad. Despite the surprise shake-up in the show's roster, viewers were eager to see what culinary delights Donal and his crew would whip up on the programme. One enthusiastic fan tweeted: "#saturdaykitchen Great to see @DonalSkehan hosting @SaturdayKitchen again [smiley emoji] @ BBC." Another viewer expressed their excitement: "#donalskehan #saturdaykitchen This episode is going to be amazing!" And another admirer shared: "@SaturdayKitchen So so pleased to see the amazing @DonalSkehan."
