1 2 3 Pune: Divisional commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar on Friday directed all departments in the district to work in close coordination to address persistent infrastructure and service-related issues faced by industries, stating that chief minister Devendra Fadnavis was committed to resolving these concerns on priority. Chairing a high-level meeting at Council Hall, a day after the chief minister announced formation of a single nodal authority for resolving infrastructure issues in Hinjewadi and other industrial zones, Pulkundwar emphasised the need for a time-bound action and inter-agency coordination to boost industrial development. "The administration must support industries and entrepreneurs at every stage. All departments must come together to ensure uninterrupted power supply, adequate water supply, better roads, drainage, and waste management. I will personally monitor the progress and ensure follow-ups are carried out regularly with the concerned authorities and ensure that the work is completed in a time- bound manner as directed by the chief minister," Pulkundwar told TOI after the meeting. The meeting was attended by senior officials from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), PMRDA, Zilla Parishad, MIDC, PMPML, MSEDCL, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), police, and other key departments. District collector Jitendra Dudi said the state is focused on promoting industrial growth across hubs like Pimpri-Chinchwad, Chakan, Talegaon, Ranjangaon, Jejuri, Baramati, and other areas. "Infrastructure will be upgraded both within and outside industrial zones. Meetings with industry bodies will be held periodically to ensure prompt redressal of grievances," he said. PMPML managing director Deepa Mudhol-Munde said the transport body was open to launching customised bus services for industrial workers. "Companies can request services, and routes and timings will be finalised in consultation with them," she said. With Ashadi Ekadashi approaching, Pune divisional commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar has directed the Solapur administration to reduce the river's water level to ensure safe access to the riverbanks for Warkaris arriving for the holy dip. Pulkundwar chaired a review meeting with officials in Pandharpur on Tuesday. He noted that the Bhima River is referred to as the Chandrabhaga River when it passes through the town. "The administration should ensure the safety of the Warkaris arriving. The water level of the Chandrabhaga River is increasing. The authorities should submit a report suggesting measures to bring down the water level of the river and make the banks open for the Warkaris," said Pulkundwar. "We have made a comprehensive plan for water transport. The boat operators are given the required training. We are making around 1,050 life-saving jackets for the devotees taking boat rides," he said, adding that 220 boats are currently operational to ferry pilgrims.
