Kajol says she does not watch her films, here's why!

Despite being one of Bollywood's most iconic actors, Kajol has revealed that she does not enjoy watching her own movies. In a recent interview, the 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)' and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' star said she is more of a reader than a film viewer, and she rarely revisits her own performances, even though it's in her most celebrated roles. 'I don't watch films, period' The interview happened with IANS where Kajol explained that she does not watch movies in general, not just her own. She described herself as someone who prefers reading over screen time, and admitted that she is 'really bad' at keeping up with films. The honest confession surprised fans, especially given her decades-long filmography filled with genre-defining hits. The few she'd love to see again While Kajol does not typically rewatch her own work, she did mention a few titles she genuinely enjoys seeing on the big screen again. She said 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' has already had its theatrical re-release, but she would love to revisit 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' one again. Upcoming projects of the actor Kajol is getting all buckled up for the release of 'Sarzameen,' which is a drama and she is co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan. She said the role demanded emotional depth and resonated with her personally. It is directed by Kayoze Irani, and the film positions Kajol's character as the emotional anchor of the story, which is layered and a bit complex. Further, she is also collaborating with Twinkle Khanna on a new talk show with the title 'Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle,' which also promises honest and fiery conversations with Bollywood's biggest names. The show is expected to blend humor, insight, and behind-the-scenes revelations from the industry's most familiar faces.

Kajol and Ajay Devgn worked together in 8, four of which were super flops, these films are.... In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, lines between real and reel life are often blurred. The on-screen chemistry that we see in films is often idealised and hailed, and remains etched in the hearts of the audience. But if a real-life couple plays a romantic role on screen, it's even more appreciated and becomes a formula for a successful film. However, it's not always the case. But there is one real-life Bollywood couple who have done everything from intense drama to romantic tale together on screen, while some garnered a lot of love and attention, others turned out to be a flop. The couple that we are talking about is none other than Ajay Devgn and Kajol. The duo has delivered 8 films together, 4 of which turned out to be a flop. Gundaraj The first film that the duo did together was Gundaraj. It was released in the year 1995. It was an action drama; however, it did not perform well at the box office. Ishq Following that, the pair delivered another film in 1996 titled Ishq. The multi-starrer film was a comedy-drama that also featured stars including Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. The chemistry between Ajay and Kajol was widely hailed, and it turned out to be a blockbuster. Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. A year later, in 1999, they again delivered a superhit called Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. The film further cemented their iconic pairing, and what's interesting is that during the shoot of this film, they were also dating in real life. Their sizzling off-screen also transcended on-screen, and the film turned out to be a blockbuster. Dil Kya Kare In 1999, Kajol played Ajay's wife in Dil Kya Kare. Although the film received mixed reviews, it did well commercially and was declared a box office hit. Raju Chacha In 2000, the duo appeared in the multi-starrer film 'Raju Chacha'. Despite featuring many big names in the film, it turned out to be a flop. U Me Aur Hum In 2008, the duo appeared in the film U Me Aur Hum. In this film, Ajay wore the hat of both a director and an actor. While the plot had an emotional narrative, it couldn't resonate with the audience and turned out to be a flop. Toonpur Ka Superhero Two years later, the duo again delivered a film in 2010 with Toonpur Ka Superhero. Unfortunately, this live-action-animated film which they again played husband and wife, also couldn't resonate with the audience and flopped at the box office. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. After delivering a streak of flops, the duo made a comeback with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior in 2020. This film became a massive blockbuster with both of them receiving the much-needed appreciation. Despite the highs and lows, Ajay Devgn and Kajol have always remained a fan-favourite couple, whether it's on screen or off screen.

Kajol looks back at her pregnancy, Nysa and Yug's infancies; says dad Ajay Devgn ‘changed their nappies only twice'

Actor Kajol, who shares two kids, Nysa and Yug, with husband Ajay Devgn, recently opened up about their parenting journey, revealing that they've always shared responsibilities in raising their children. She even mentioned that Ajay has changed their kids' diapers - albeit just twice. During an interview with News18 Showsha, Kajol looked back at the time when she was pregnant, adding that she and Ajay are happy not to be changing their children Nysa and Yug's nappies. Kajol said, 'I don't think we ever functioned that way. We share responsibilities. If I'm there, I do things. If he's there, he does it. It's as simple as that. The best thing is that our children don't need to get their nappies changed anymore... When Nysa and Yug were babies, Ajay did change their nappies once or twice. He may tell you that he did it more than two times but I would've to disagree on that point." She added, 'We've passed that stage and nobody needs to take that responsibility anymore. We're good. Today, it's more about supervision and talking to our children about their issues. It's much easier to swap those roles around'. Kajol admitted that she was 'pretty much chill' when she was pregnant with Yug, who she gave birth to in September 2010. She said that she worked out a lot throughout both her pregnancies and that gave her a huge boost. About Kajol and Ajay's relationship Kajol has been married to Ajay for over two decades. The duo had met for the first time on the sets of their film, Hulchul, in 1995. They dated for almost 4 years and tied the knot in 1999. Over the years, they've balanced successful film careers with family life, raising two children, Nysa (born in 2003) and Yug (born in 2010). They have worked together in several films such as Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Ishq, Dil Kya Kare, Raju Chacha and Tanhaji. Kajol's latest project Kajol was most recently seen in the horror film Maa. Helmed by Vishal Furia, the film also features Ronit Roy, Kherin Sharma, and Indraneil Sengupta in key roles. The film received mixed reviews overall, but has had a promising start at the box office. Next, she will be seen in Sarzameen. Directed by Boman Irani's son, Kayoze Irani, in his directorial debut and produced by Dharma Productions, the movie also stars Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. The film will be released on July 25 on JioHotstar.
