Sarah Jessica Parker confirms talks are ongoing for 'Hocus Pocus 3'
Fans of the Hocus Pocus franchise may have reason to stay hopeful. Sarah Jessica Parker has offered a fresh update on the long-rumored third installment, confirming that discussions are underway. Appearing on Watch What Happens Live!, the 60-year-old actress said, 'We've been having some conversations,' though she added there have been 'no more developments other than we would like to do it.' Parker's comments mark the first significant update in over a year regarding Hocus Pocus 3, which would serve as a follow-up to the 2022 sequel that reunited Parker with co-stars Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy as the wickedly comedic Sanderson sisters. The original 1993 film has since become a Halloween cult classic, making each sequel a nostalgic celebration for fans. Midler has also previously urged Disney to move quickly with the third movie. Appearing last year on Busy Philipps' QVC+ show Busy This Week, she quipped, 'If they're gonna, they oughta, because time is not just marching, time is barrel-assing to the finish line. Get us while we're still breathing!' While no script has been publicly confirmed, the stars' consistent enthusiasm suggests that creative forces may be aligning behind the scenes. The 2022 sequel was a streaming hit, debuting on Disney+ to record-breaking numbers, which likely adds momentum for a third chapter. Despite the growing interest, Disney has yet to officially greenlight the project. Still, Parker's latest remarks signal that the magic isn't over yet. With all three original stars still expressing a willingness to return, the potential for another witchy adventure remains very much alive.

Sarah Jessica Parker issues Hocus Pocus 3 update
Sarah Jessica Parker has been "having some conversations" about Hocus Pocus 3. The movie still appears to be in the works, despite a lack of updates in the past year, but the 60-year-old star admitted she and the cast would "like to do it". Speaking on Watch What Happens Live!, she said: "No more developments other than we would like to do it. "We've been having some conversations." In the 1993 original, Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy appeared as the Sanderson sisters, a trio of witches who were resurrected on a Halloween night. A year ago, Midler - who reprised her role as witch Winifred 'Winnie' Sanderson in the successful fantasy comedy sequel in 2022 - urged Disney to hurry up with Hocus Pocus 3 while the cast are "still breathing". Speaking on Busy Philipps' QVC+ talk show Busy This Week, she said last July: "I haven't seen the script, but, I've heard rumblings. "I think if they're gonna, they oughta, because time is not just marching, time is barrel-assing to the finish line. "Get us while we're still breathing, I mean, God!" Midler also admitted on the show that she initially thought the 1993 original movie was a "dud", until it later became a "cult classic". In June 2024, the star revealed talks had taken place regarding a third film in the franchise. She told SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show: "Now, they're kind of talking about a third, very gingerly and very gently. "They are. They're talking about a third. The second one was a huge success." Midler also insisted her Hocus Pocus alter-ego is "probably the least like me of any character" that she has played during an acting career that has spanned more than half a century. The Stepford Wives star said: "She is the closest thing I will ever get to Shakespeare. She's from the era, from the time of Shakespeare. "She really does put it on, and yet she has all the great things you love in a great villain. She's vicious, she's hilarious, she's ridiculous-looking, and she doesn't know any of that. It goes completely over her head."

Philipps, 46, responded in disbelief, 'What? Wait, I'm sorry. What?' 'I love him so much, and I love my dad so much, and I love all of the 'Happy Days' folks,' Dallas Howard added. 'It would be so easy just to watch it, and I don't know why.' 'Yeah, kind of, I think,' Dallas Howard responded, adding that neither of them has ever really asked her about it. Dallas Howard also mentioned that her son Theodore, 18 — whom she shares with actor Seth Gabel — is now older than her father was when he started 'Happy Days.' Though her dad started acting young, Dallas Howard told People that he and her mother, Cheryl Howard, refused to let her follow the same path. 'I'm really glad that they did that because when I did start acting, it took a while to make a living. To be able to be like, 'Oh, OK. I can actually support myself with this,'' she concluded. Busy Philipps has best friend Michelle Williams to thank for 'the best advice' for getting through her daughters' teen years. In an interview with SheKnows, the Busy This Week host revealed her longtime friend and former Dawson's Creek co-star's wise words, saying, 'The best piece of parenting advice I ever received was actually from my best friend, Michelle Williams, that when you have to have a really uncomfortable conversation with your kids, do it in the car.' More from SheKnows Frances Bean Cobain's Father's Day Post Spotlights a Sweet Pattern in Her & Husband Riley Hawk's Family Photos 'Because they're trapped and you're trapped, and you can also just focus on the road, and they don't have to look at you if they're embarrassed.' Williams is a mom to 19-year-old Matilda with her late ex, Heath Ledger, as well as sharing three younger children with her now-husband, Thomas Kail. Philipps, meanwhile, is a mom to 16-year-old daughter Birdie and 11-year-old daughter Cricket with her ex-husband Marc Silverstein. So it's safe to say that she's looking to Williams for help with parenting teens! Philipps also opened up about some of the challenges of raising her daughters, saying, 'It's really hard. Just knowing and trusting that you've done the job that you needed to do, so that they are safe and make good choices, and if they don't that they feel like they can either come to you or somebody close.' Philipps and Williams met in 2001 when Philipps was cast as Audrey Liddell in Dawson's Creek. Fans of the teen show will remember that Williams played Jen Lindley for all six seasons. The duo recently opened up about their first time meeting in a May 21 episode of Philipps' QVC+ show. 'My entire life I've always been like, misunderstood and prejudged by people,' Philipps said. 'And for whatever reason, you just instantly were like, 'I got you.'' 'I loved you,' Williams added 'We just know each other and get each other in such a deep, fundamental way at this point,' Philipps told Page Six of their friendship in a March interview, adding that they've 'been there' for each other 'through so many different moments in each other's lives.' 'When you have a friend like that, you're blessed,' she told the outlet.
