‘Celebration of all things buggy' at River Bend Nature Center
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — If you love bugs or even not so much of a bug fan, you are invited to come out and learn about all things buggy at River Bend Nature Center's Bug Fest! RBNC receives grant and help from Home Depot for new greenhouse
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — River Bend Nature Center now has a new greenhouse, thanks to the folks at The Home Depot. After receiving a $7,000 grant, multiple employees with Home Depot's Operation Surprise stopped by to help assemble and install the new greenhouse, which will be right outside the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory. Seymour to host Spring Fling next month This comes as renovations are being made to several portions of RBNC, which Executive Director Jennica Lambert said will hopefully be ready around the beginning of the summer. Assistant Store Manager for Home Depot Stephany Vasquez said they're just happy to be a part of something that will help future generations for years to come. 'Jennica is a really good partner with us, and we love what they do here in the community for everybody. 'And we just thought, you know, we'd try to see if the Home Depot Foundation would help fund this project,' Vasquez said. YMCA promotes kids health and wellness at free public event
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The YMCA of Wichita Falls is holding its annual kids' event for the entire community on Saturday, April 26. The Healthy Kids Day at the Y invites all families to a fun-filled event that celebrates and hopes to inspire kids to stay active and healthy during their summer school break. Creature teacher animal show coming to RBNC The YMCA's executive director, Troy Griggs, said they are excited to kick off the summer with this event and provide families with a fun and free opportunity. He also thanked his sponsors. Texas Family Initiative hosts event to attract foster parents
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The Texas Family Initiative is holding an event on Saturday, April 12, for those interested in becoming foster parents or learning about the process. Creature teacher animal show coming to RBNC TFI said it is not a complicated process, although you must be 21 years of age to apply and have an income. You do not have to be married, can be retired. There is a dire need for foster parents not just in Texoma but in the entire state of Texas. At least 200 children in Texoma are displaced and need a place to go. Creature teacher animal show coming to RBNC
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Get ready to learn exciting things about exotic animals at RBNC. River Bend Nature Center invites the community to special events on Wednesday, April 23, and Thursday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. for The Creature Teacher Animal Show. They will be a 45-minute interactive program featuring animals from around the world. Don't miss your chance to see the exotic animals up close and personal!
