(REV Media Group pic) PETALING JAYA : REV Media Group recently hosted a special screening of 'Ejen Ali: The Movie 2' for underprivileged families from Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) communities, in line with its commitment to using technology and media as tools for its environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy. Held on June 4, the initiative brought together 200 attendees, including 100 beneficiaries from PPR areas across the Klang Valley, as part of the company's 'Tech For Good' programme. The screening was made possible through a collaboration with Primeworks Studios and Pepper Labs. Attendees were treated to 'Ejen Ali: The Movie 2', currently the highest-grossing Malaysian animated film with a box office collection of RM40.6 million. The event also featured appearances by mascot characters Ejen Ali and Ejen Alicia, adding a memorable touch for the young audience. 'This initiative reflects our belief that technology and media can make a real difference. It's about creating a positive impact and providing meaningful experiences, especially to those who may not have easy access to them,' said Samuel Wee, chief executive officer of REV Media Group. The screening forms part of REV's broader efforts to foster inclusive community engagement through partnerships and digital outreach. It also underscores the company's intent to align entertainment with impact-driven initiatives for social good.

The event, organised under the group's "Tech For Good" initiative, took place on June 4 in collaboration with Primeworks Studios and Pepper Labs. It brought together 100 beneficiaries from the People's Housing Project(PPR) communities and 100 REV Media Group staff and their families for a private viewing of the animated film. With box office takings of RM40.6 million, Ejen Ali: The Movie 2 is currently Malaysia's highest-grossing animated feature. The screening also featured appearances by mascot characters Ejen Ali and Ejen Alicia, adding to the excitement. At the screening, REV Media group chief executive officer Samuel Wee said: "We're thankful for the opportunity to bring Malaysia's highest-grossing animated film to communities that might not otherwise have had access." "At REV, we believe in using technology and media to make a difference. Moments like this, seeing the joy on the faces of children and families, truly capture what we stand for," he added. KUALA LUMPUR: REV Media Group chief operating officer Nicholas Sagau has been appointed as the new president of the Malaysian Digital Association for the 2025-2026 term. The association shared its key leadership updates for the 2025–2026 term, reinforcing its commitment to keeping pace with the rapidly changing digital media and marketing landscape, driven by AI's arrival and shifting global economic and geopolitical factors impacting digital businesses. GroupM Malaysia head of media practices Pranav Jha was elected as its vice president. The appointments come following the recent promotion of the association's former president, Eileen Ooi, to PHD Asia Pacific chief executive officer, a significant achievement which underscores Malaysia's influence in the regional digital arena. In addition, MDA has appointed IPG Mediabrands chief digital officer Cindy Eliza Vaz as its new treasurer. With her extensive experience in data-driven marketing and media solutions, she will bring valuable expertise to the leadership team. Meanwhile, Star Media Group Bhd chief operating officer Lydia Wang will continue to serve as MDA secretary. "The digital landscape is at a critical juncture, with AI set to disrupt the ecosystem like previous technologies have reshaped the digital world.
