THE RUNDOWN True to form, Taylor Swift has once again sent the world into a fevered frenzy with the surprise announcement of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. Swift's marketing machine kicked into high gear on Monday night when her website transformed into a glittering orange spectacle, complete with a countdown timer ticking toward 12:12 A.M. on August 12. The numerical symbolism wasn't lost on devoted Swifties, who've learned to decode every easter egg the artist drops. When the countdown hit zero, Swift's website predictably crashed under the weight of millions of eager fans before re-booting with sparse details about the mysterious new project. It was the star's appearance on her partner Travis Kelce's podcast, however, that delivered the money shot. In a teaser clip, Swift dramatically opens a briefcase to reveal a blurred vinyl while declaring, 'This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.' The full episode is coming out very soon—and is bound to contain much more information about the project. Swift's debut podcast appearance on Travis Kelce's New Heights will be released at 7 P.M. ET on August 13. You can watch the podcast here on its YouTube channel. You can also hear it on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. Swift hasn't revealed the release date yet. However, pre-orders indicate shipping by October 13. Swift's team has emphasized this isn't the actual release date, and Swift could very well share it tonight.

THE RUNDOWN: Selena Gomez was ecstatic yesterday evening at the launch party for Rare Beauty's first-ever Eau de Parfum. At the photocall for the event, the founder jumped for joy while meeting the larger cast of Love Island USA season 7 for the first time. She was seen posing with all of the fan favorites including runners-up Nicolas Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen. Winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales were not spotted in attendance; however, earlier in the week, Espinal (known by fans as Amaya Papaya) posted a TikTok video with Gomez spritzing the new fragrance. In a second video, the two expressed how happy they were to finally meet each other. For the event, Gomez opted for a shimmering mother-of-pearl gown from Cult Gaia. The dress features a halterneck, open back, and draped fringes which flowed with every movement. The singer and beauty mogul has been busy in recent weeks, between the fragrance launch, enjoying wedding planning with fiancé Benny Blanco, and the upcoming season of Only Murders in the Building. She did take time earlier in the week, however, for a date night with Blanco—the two attended a cooking class in Century City. Gomez looked relaxed but tailored in a pair of Jacquemus flared denim capris and slingback kitten heels.

THE RUNDOWN Megan Fox has been in the spotlight since she was 15 years old, and in that time, she's had a number of high-profile relationships. The actress and writer has always been extremely open about her intense approach to romance—and she's had partners who completely match that energy. She's also shared that there were people in her dating history she can never talk about. In 2023, Fox promoted her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, on Good Morning America and explained that she often uses her relationships as inspiration. But some people can never be named. 'This is not an exposé that I wrote or a throughout my life, I have been in at least one physically abusive relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships,' she said. 'I have only been publicly connected to a few people, but I shared energy with, I guess we could say, who were horrific people. And also very famous—very famous—people. But no one knows that I was involved with those people.' Here's what is known about Megan Fox's complete dating history so far. Ben Leahy Fox dated a boy from her high school, Ben Leahy, for three years before she became a star, according to a 2009 interview with Rolling Stone. They seemed to have a typical teen romance that ended when she headed to Los Angeles. 'I loved him,' she said. 'He was very sweet and wonderful, really tall and big with a perfect body, and he was a badass. I was totally drawn to him.' Fox started dating 7th Heaven's David Gallagher around 2004 after she starred in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. He joined her at the film's premiere, but they broke up after about a year of dating. THE RUNDOWN Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco got engaged in December 2024, but not yet revealed their wedding plan. Fans have been wanting to know more details about the upcoming event, and the Only Murder in the Building star finally shared some this week. On her Rare Beauty brand's TikTok account, Gomez shared some of her thoughts on the reception, saying she had some ideas for the dessert. Traditionally, a big wedding cake is expected, but Gomez has other dreams. 'My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy,' she shared. 'My Nana's biscuits and gravy. That sounds like dessert to me.' She also explained, 'Whenever that day comes, I do know I don't want a big cake. I think I'd want a mini one, for just us, that we can freeze.' Gomez previously discussed the first dance between the bride and groom on an episode of Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware, saying she was probably going to skip it. 'I don't think we're looking at having one of those 'cause they're a little—I feel embarrassed,' she said. But she was hoping to be escorted down the aisle by her grandfather. 'He never got a chance to walk my mom down the aisle,' she explained. 'I wanted to give [my grandfather] the opportunity to have that.' In July, Blanco discussed how planning is going on Jake Shane's podcast, Therapuss. The music producer said that they have both been so busy since the release of their album, I Said I Love You First. 'That's why we both need to chill,' Blanco explained. 'We've both been working so much. We got engaged, and then we were filming music videos for our album. Then it's holidays, then right after the holidays, we had to start all the promo for our stuff, do that. Then she left to film her show Only Murders [in the Building] and then I met her, then we hung out for a week, and then right after that, it's promo. And then I'm writing another book, so then I had to write a book, and then she came back for one day here. And then it was my birthday, and you know.' He continued, 'We're both working on so many things that we hadn't even had time to get into it, but we're so excited. I think this summer we're going to sit down and be like, 'Okay, what are we doing, hun?''
