UP sanctions Rs 1cr for temple beautification

Lucknow: In a boost to spiritual tourism in Sarojininagar, the Uttar Pradesh govt has sanctioned Rs 1 crore for the beautification and development of the historic Jal Sainath Mahadev Temple located in Parwar Paschim. The decision comes as a result of continuous efforts by local MLA Rajeshwar Singh, who wrote to the state tourism minister on April 23, urging the inclusion of the temple in the tourism department's development plan. The temple, a revered site dedicated to Lord Shiva, holds deep spiritual and cultural significance and has long been at the centre of local faith and community expectations. Singh emphasised that temples are not only places of worship but also symbols of heritage and social harmony. Temple trust president Rajesh Singh Somvanshi welcomed the approval, calling it the realisation of a long-awaited dream for the local community.

Digitise welfaregovernance, MLAsuggests Yogi

Lucknow: In a push to digitise welfare governance, Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh submitted a comprehensive proposal to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, recommending integration of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) into welfare schemes, beginning with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The proposal aims to address long-standing issues in welfare implementation such as delay in fund disbursement, duplication of beneficiary data, lack of progress transparency and leakages at the grassroots level. Singh's vision is to leverage cutting-edge technology to ensure real-time monitoring and enhance citizen trust. Key components of the proposal include blockchain-based sanction orders to prevent tampering post-approval, geo-tagged AI verification of construction progress, smart contracts for automated direct benefit transfers and AI dashboards for real-time monitoring and grievance redressal. The plan suggests a unified beneficiary ledger linked with other central schemes like Ujjwala, Saubhagya and Jal Jeevan Mission. The roadmap outlines a three-phase rollout: Pilot phase in one or two blocks/districts with blockchain-enabled PMAY records and AI dashboards. District-level expansion with MIS integration, smart contracts and chatbot-based grievance redress. Statewide rollout including blockchain welfare IDs, predictive AI for fund allocation and decentralised public audits. Singh sought the Chief Minister's approval to initiate the pilot in coordination with the departments of rural development, urban housing and IT.

Rajeshwar submits AI based traffic system proposal to CM

1 2 3 Lucknow: In a visionary push for digital governance and urban reform, Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Thursday submitted a comprehensive proposal to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, advocating for the implementation of an Artificial Intelligence-based Intelligent Traffic Management System (AI-ITMS) in Lucknow. Highlighting issues such as over 28 lakh registered vehicles, Rs 10,000 crore in annual productivity losses, and a 33% rise in emissions, the proposal outlines how AI can revolutionise traffic efficiency, emergency response, and environmental health. Rajeshwar Singh emphasised that AI-enabled traffic systems—already in use in cities like Bengaluru, Surat, and Noida—can cut travel times by up to 25%, reduce fuel consumption by 20%, and improve ambulance response times by 40%. Suggested pilot zones include Hazratganj–Parivartan Chowk, Charbagh–Alambagh, Shaheed Path, Aminabad, and key intersections along NH-27. The proposal also calls for a task force comprising the UP Police, LDA, and tech institutions such as IIT Kanpur and C-DAC. Further, Rajeshwar Singh reiterated his proposal to establish a 'Uttar Pradesh Artificial Intelligence Commission' to guide the long-term integration of AI in governance. This initiative aligns with the CM's Smart City vision and promises safer roads, cleaner air, and faster emergency services—positioning Lucknow as a model for smart urban mobility.
