Man rides bike through flooded streets of Surat; viral video sparks awe and anger
Gujarat has been battered by heavy rains since Sunday, June 22, with the state receiving over 100mm of rainfall. The downpour has led to severe waterlogging, blocked roads, and a flood-like situation, particularly in low-lying areas. On Tuesday, continuous rain shattered a 40-year-old rainfall record in Surat. Amid the chaos, a video from Surat has gone viral, capturing a man riding a two-wheeler through waterlogged streets while others wade through the knee-deep water. The video was shared by Brut India on Instagram (@ with the caption, 'A commuter was seen riding a two-wheeler while others waded through the flooded roads of Gujarat's Surat. A flood-like situation erupted in the city after incessant rains in the region since Sunday. Over 100mm of rainfall blocked roads leading to in the low-lying areas. The city received continuous rainfall on Tuesday, shattering a 40-year record. Several parts of Gujarat are expected to experience rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms until June 27th.' The video has quickly gained traction, racking up over 710K views and 18K likes. A post shared by Brut India (@ Many users were stunned that the bike was still able to function in such conditions. One user said, 'Whichever bike that is, they ought to use it for their company ad. Cuz damn!!' Some users criticised the state of Gujarat's civic infrastructure and political environment. One user commented, 'I'm from Gujarat. This was destined to happen in a corrupt government and municipality. Nowadays even Rakhi Sawant will win in Gujarat with BJP's ticket. This is the level of political blindness in Gujarat.' Another user pointed out the deeper problem behind the water logging, '100mm of rainfall = just 10 cm. This is a clear indicator of clogged drainage systems. Why do they clog? Coz people with zero civic sense and responsibility towards society think it's okay to dump trash on the road.' A fourth user highlighted chronic mismanagement in local governance, writing, 'This just because of learned municipal commissioner and unlearned corporators. Every year, crores of rupees are swallowed for cleaning drainage and gutter lines. But the result is zero. If all drainage and gutters are clean, there is no problem of water or flood-like situation. And we people deserve this as we do not have guts to ask questions.' Heavy rainfall continues to affect districts across the Saurashtra and South Gujarat regions, including Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Porbandar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, and Morbi. As of Thursday, 170 talukas were impacted by the downpour. Maliya Hatina in Junagadh recorded the highest rainfall with 135mm, followed by Mahuva in Surat with 121mm till 8 PM.

Meet actress who faced poverty, worked for Rs 50, ate food from dustbins, today leads lavish life, owns a house in Dubai, her name is...
In a world where social media noise fades fast, some voices cut through the clutter—louder, sharper, impossible to ignore. One such voice is Rakhi Sawant. You may roll your eyes, laugh, or even cringe—but you're still watching. And behind all the drama is a journey far more raw, real, and ruthless than what you see on your feed. You won't believe it, but the woman dominating every headline today once worked as a waitress at weddings, for just Rs 50 a day. Rakhi's early life was defined by crushing poverty. She's openly admitted to going hungry for days, and worse—eating leftover food picked from garbage bins just to survive. But this wasn't just about staying alive. It was the making of someone unbreakable. There was shame, too. After dancing at a local dandiya night, her own mother chopped off her long hair as punishment, meant to humiliate her. Instead, it only hardened her resolve. In the film world, she was typecast and rejected repeatedly. From background dancer to blink-and-miss roles, she clawed her way into the spotlight with songs like Pardesiya and a cameo in Main Hoon Na. When Bollywood stopped calling, she rebranded herself for reality TV—and the audience couldn't look away. Bigg Boss changed everything. Rakhi, raw and real, became a phenomenon. The tears, the fights, the one-liners—everything went viral. And suddenly, she wasn't just another starlet. She was entertainment itself. Today, Rakhi is worth over Rs 41 crore. She owns a home in Dubai. And she did it all without a godfather, mentor, or sugar-coated PR campaign—just grit, guts, and her unfiltered self. Rakhi Sawant is not just a name anymore. She's a reminder that chaos, when owned loudly enough, can become currency.
