However, she will not be able to return to work while Luka remains immunocompromised for fear of bringing home any type of illness that could put his health at further risk, presenting an additional hardship for the family. According to the University of Chicago's Medical Center, 'neuroblastoma is a disease that originates in immature nerve tissue in the adrenal gland or the sympathetic ganglia located near the spinal cord.
