RR Sport SV Carbon is the flagship model
The RR Sport SV Carbon blends dynamics and luxury and becomes the performance flagship for the brand. Offered alongside Range Rover Sport SV and SV Black, the Sport SV Carbon features carbon finishes and exclusive colours. The new model will debut shortly at Range Rover House during Monterey Car Week. Several different colour options will be available. The standard Forged Carbon Exterior Pack includes carbon fibre detailing, including for the exhaust tips. A Twill Carbon finish, with a distinctive diagonal weave, and exposed carbon fibre bonnet are also optionally available. Finishing the model are lightweight 23-inch forged alloy wheels complemented by black brake calipers. An option for those with a dislike of unsprung weight is the ultra-lightweight 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheel pack. And for the ultimate in braking performance, there are carbon ceramic brakes with calipers in a range of colours, all cost options. In the cabin there are four interior themes comprising perforated Windsor Leather seats that come in Ebony, Rosewood/Ebony, Light Cloud/Ebony or Cinder Grey/Ebony. The latter are for those who might not want leather, replaced instead with Ultrafabric material. Forged Carbon detailing extends to the seat backs and dashboard, with a Twill Carbon finish also available. Extended Moonlight Chrome detailing and SV illuminated tread plates give the interior added sparkle. Ryan Miller, Product and Services Marketing Director, said customers now have the choice of the blacked-out Rover Sport SV Black, or the new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon, with a luxury-performance take on the SUV. He says it is the 'ultimate expression of lightweight performance.' Not that all that carbon makes it exactly lightweight per se; it still scales up at 2500kg. But the carbon wheels will reduce unsprung weight by around 34kg all up. Under the hood, a carbon fibre SV engine cover is fitted to the 474kW/750Nm 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 mild hybrid petrol engine. The RR SV line-up features 6D Dynamics Suspension. This system comprises hydraulic interlinked air suspension with pitch and roll control for optimum composure when cornering, accelerating and braking. In the cabin is Body and Soul Seat (BASS) technology, essentially the use of tactile transducers. It creates an immersive audio experience that front seat occupants can feel and hear. New Range Rover Sport SV Carbon edition revealed
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has unveiled the new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon, a lighter and more performance-focused flagship to be sold alongside the recently announced SV and SV Black variants. The British carmaker describes it as 'the ultimate expression of lightweight performance, featuring carbon finishes and exclusive colours'. Available in four standard exterior colours, along with a broader selection from the curated SV Premium Palette, the SV Carbon stands out with a Forged Carbon Exterior Pack and lightweight 23-inch forged alloy wheels paired with Anodised Black brake calipers. An exposed carbon fibre bonnet is optional, as are 23-inch carbon fibre wheels that reduce the vehicle's weight by 76kg, improving acceleration, handling and ride quality. Buyers can also upgrade to a carbon ceramic brake package, featuring eight piston SV calipers finished in blue, yellow, carbon bronze or black. Inside, four interior themes are offered with Windsor leather seats in Ebony, Rosewood and Ebony or Light Cloud and Ebony. A leather free option combines Cinder Grey and Ebony using perforated Ultrafabrics material. Forged Carbon detailing features on the seat backs and dashboard with a Twill Carbon finish also available. Other unique touches include Extended Moonlight Chrome accents, SV branded illuminated treadplates and Body and Soul Seat technology — an audio system that allows front occupants to 'feel' the sound. Power comes from a BMW-sourced, 4.4 l twin-turbocharged mild hybrid petrol V8 producing 467kW and 750Nm. This enables a 0-100km/h sprint in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 290km/h. Underpinning the vehicle is JLR's sophisticated 6D Dynamics suspension system, which includes hydraulic interlinked dampers, height adjustable air springs and a 48V pitch control system that replaces traditional anti-roll bars. Custom SV calibrations have been applied to the intelligent all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, torque vectoring by braking, configurable dynamics and active locking rear differential. These changes aim to enhance responsiveness and deliver a more focused driving experience. The Range Rover Sport SV Carbon will make its global debut at Range Rover House during Monterey Car Week on August 13. Local availability is expected from late 2025, with pricing starting at R3,822,300.

SV Bespoke service extends to Range Rover Sport
Range Rover's SV Bespoke commissioning service is now available for the first time on the Range Rover Sport, giving customers access to an almost limitless range of colours, materials and finishes to create a vehicle that reflects their individual style. To mark the occasion, the brand has revealed the exclusive Range Rover Sport Nocturne at Range Rover House in Mykonos. A nod to the inky dark skies so characteristic of the Mediterranean, this one-off SUV is finished in Bespoke Indigo Gloss paint with contrasting Narvik Black accents on the mirror caps and roof. Other standout elements include an exposed carbon fibre bonnet, a satin twill carbon fibre exterior pack and script badging in Black Chrome Metal with Indigo Gloss inserts. A set of 23-inch 'Thunderball' alloy wheels are finished in Champagne Gold Satin, while the brake calipers are painted in a stealthy shade of Black Carbon. Inside, the Nocturne further sets itself apart with an SV Bespoke split colourway of Ebony and Lunar Windsor leather, featuring Light Cloud contrast stitching. Satin Forged Carbon Fibre trim and black ceramic controls — an SV signature — complete the high-spec interior.
