BTS ARMY Documentary Forever We Are Young's Theatrical Release Date Announced

Forever We Are Young is going to centre on the ARMY, who have been devoted to the band and its seven members. BTS has become one of the most popular boy bands in the last few years. The K-pop band's journey from a rookie to a global phenomenon is inspiring, and the fans have been a massive part of their success. Known as ARMY, BTS fans transcend borders, languages and cultures. To give back to the loyal ARMY, BTS is gearing up to release a new documentary titled Forever We Are Young. Forever We Are Young is going to centre on the ARMY, who have been devoted to the band and its 7 members, including Jungkook, V, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and RM. The documentary is set to make a special theatrical release worldwide on July 30 via Trafalgar Releasing. ARMY can book their tickets from July 2 at The documentary film is helmed by award-winning directors Grace Lee and Patty Ahn. The film explores and highlights the passion, activism and creativity that defines the BTS ARMY. The film follows fans across continents, from Seoul to Mexico City and Lewisville to Los Angeles, as these fans share one mutual connection – their love for BTS. The documentary further highlights the fan-led movements as well as explores how ARMY has become a global symbol of unity and collective strength. Additionally, the film features dance cover groups from South Korea, stories from ReactorCon in Texas, and devoted fans who have organised ARMY since the band's debut in 2013. The documentary made its world premiere at SXSW 2025 in Austin, Texas. The premiere was met with sold-out stadiums and standing ovations from the audience. Later, the film was screened in various cities, including Los Angeles, Mexico City and Copenhagen. This documentary film is produced by Eurie Chung, Nora Chute, Grace Lee and Patty Ahn with a bunch of talented executive producers, including Oscar winner Morgan Neville, James Shin and Caitrin Rogers. As per Billboard reports, directors Grace Lee and Patty Ahn stated in a joint statement, 'There is no BTS without ARMY and no ARMY without BTS.
