The Real Estate Future Forum 2025 (RFF 2025) concluded its events in Riyadh, after three days of active participation from more than 120 countries and 500 speakers from the public and private sectors. Under the sponsorship of the Saudi Real Estate General Authority (REGA), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, the fourth edition of RFF was held under the theme 'Future for Humanity: Shaping Dreams into Reality.' The event saw the participation of prominent local and international economists, investors, decision-makers, and real estate experts. It witnessed the signing of several real estate agreements and deals. It also achieved a digital reach of over 400 million impressions, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Wide Participation in RFF 2025 Taking place from January 26-28, 2025, the RFF 2025 held more than 34 dialogue sessions and meetings on topics such as urban planning and design of healthy, environmentally, and socially sustainable residential communities; and the importance of harnessing property technology (proptech) in green buildings. Furthermore, the RFF 2025 showcased the achievements of the municipal and residential sector to build a more dynamic and prosperous real estate future. Mohammed Abdul-Latif Hajar, Director of Studies and Design at Ladun, emphasized the company's deep-rooted presence in Saudi Arabia's real estate sector. Speaking at the Real Estate Future Forum 2025, he highlighted Ladun's 50-year legacy in property development across multiple sectors. Diverse Real Estate Portfolio Ladun operates in three key sectors, focusing on affordable housing, raw land development, and real estate asset management. 'We engage in affordable housing projects in partnership with the National Housing Company and the Ministry of Housing,' Hajar said. 'Our largest projects, Jawharat Al-Rusaifah and Fenan in Makkah, include approximately 2,700 residential units.' The company is also active in raw land development. 'We developed Al-Aseeli suburb in Makkah, covering three million square meters, and Al-Rimal in Riyadh, spanning 500,000 square meters,' he explained. The third sector involves managing residential compounds, each containing around 70 to 80 villas. 'We expanded into comprehensive development, selling 22 fully finished villas last year,' he added. Hospitality Expansion with Cheval Ladun Living Ladun is entering the hospitality sector with Cheval Ladun Living, a luxury residential tower on King Fahd Road. 'This marks Cheval's debut in Saudi Arabia, introducing a five-star luxury serviced apartment concept,' Hajar revealed. The tower will house 124 premium units, offering one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. 'What sets this project apart is its spacious design, starting at 100 square meters for a one-bedroom unit,' he emphasized. 'Each unit is fully furnished with a complete kitchen, providing a permanent residence experience in an exclusive setting.' Ladun aims to complete the project by 2027, targeting long-term rentals. 'Every unit includes at least one balcony, enhancing quality of life and aligning with Saudi Vision 2030,' Hajar noted. Supporting Saudi Vision 2030 Ladun's hospitality expansion aligns with the Kingdom's vision for economic diversification and tourism growth. 'Our participation in RFF 2025 reaffirms our commitment to Saudi Arabia's development goals,' Hajar stated. 'With Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034 approaching, we are preparing to expand this model nationwide.' Ladun continues contributing to Vision 2030's objectives, transitioning from affordable housing to tourism-driven developments. The agreements included a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to enhance collaboration in supply chains and the Industrial Links Program, aiming to increase local content and improve efficiency in the real estate development sector. In another key agreement, a memorandum of understanding was signed with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in collaboration with Al Saif Company to advance construction development through off-site construction technologies. As part of its efforts to support supply chain services, NHC signed agreements with nine real estate development companies. Additionally, two open purchase agreements were signed with Zamil Air Conditioners Factory, along with another agreement with alfanar Company. The forum also marked the announcement of the Logistics City project in Khuzam Destination, a partnership involving NHC, CETC China Construction, and Alrawaf Contracting. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of supply chains in the real estate sector, strengthen the national economy, and support future real estate development projects. To foster human resource development, NHC signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Media Academy to collaborate on training initiatives. This partnership includes providing specialized programs aimed at qualifying and developing the national workforce.
