Lin-Manuel Miranda and Original ‘Hamilton' Cast Performing at Tony Awards
History has its eye on you, Hamilton cast. To honor the Broadway show's 10th anniversary this year, the original cast of the Tony-winning production, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the book, music, lyrics and starred in the show, will reunite at the Tony Awards for a special anniversary performance on June 8. It went on to nab a Grammy, Olivier award, Pulitzer Prize for Drama, citation from the Kennedy Center Honors and the original Broadway cast recording became the first to be certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America. The show is currently still playing on Broadway. Before the Tony Awards begin airing, a pre-show will be hosted by first-time Tony nominee Darren Criss and Renée Elise Goldsberry, available to stream on Pluto TV at 6:40-8 p.m. ET/3:40-5 p.m. PT. Drake has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the artist with the most RIAA Diamond certifications ever — a total of ten. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed the news on May 28, announcing that his singles 'Hold On, We're Going Home' and 'Best I Ever Had' have now reached Diamond status, joining an already impressive list. With this update, Drake's Diamond-certified catalog also includes hits like 'God's Plan,' 'One Dance,' 'Hotline Bling,' Travis Scott's 'SICKO MODE,' 'Life Is Good' with Future, Lil Wayne's 'Love Me,' and Chris Brown's 'No Guidance.' Kid Cudi is the latest celebrity to testify at Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex trafficking trial in New York. The popular melodic rapper took the stand Thursday and told the jury about his brief relationship 14 years ago with Combs' ex-girlfriend, the R&B singer Cassie. Cudi testified about several incidents involving Combs, who prosecutors contend was so upset at the rapper that he arranged to have Cudi's Porsche 911 convertible firebombed. Cudi told jurors about finding his car burned in the driveway of his Hollywood Hills home in 2012. Pictures shown to the jury showed a hole cut in the fabric roof and a Molotov cocktail was found in the passenger seat. After the meeting, he said, there were no more break-ins at his house and no more trouble with his car.
