In memory and hope: A camp to honour RGNUL students
(Written by Prisha Arora) A blood donation camp, accompanied by cadaver and eye donation registration (ROTO-PGI), will be held on May 18 at the Community Centre in Sector 19, Chandigarh, in memory of four students from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala — Reet, Ishaan, Ribhu, and Kushagra — whose lives were cut short but remain deeply cherished. Organised by the Reeshaan Foundation, the initiative is a gesture of remembrance and compassion. For Major R S Virk, Reet's father, it is also personal. 'There is no better way to do something meaningful for the privileged than by giving back. For me, this is how I remember her,' he said. 'We are only informing those who truly mattered to her—her closest friends.' Reet, remembered as a brilliant student with a deep love for animals, recently received her final RGNUL results after her tragic death, scoring exceptionally well. Her classmates, including Ishaan Sood, also did admirably well — a reflection of the promise their futures held. Beyond the donation drive, the foundation is extending support to two orphaned siblings who recently lost both parents. One of them, only 17, had been working to support the household. 'The foundation is now planning to fund their education — another reflection of Reet's giving spirit,' said Maj Virk. The event will also pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces, creating a space for silent remembrance and selfless service. 'You're always somebody's blood type,' reads the event's poster — a reminder that giving sustains life, and with it, memory. In honouring the lives of their children, the families behind the initiative hope to build a legacy of kindness — through blood, through education, and through acts of care that reflect what Reet and her friends stood for. Bharat Ahlawwat channels his inner Rockstar off-screen and on-screen on the sets of Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile
In Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile , love takes centre stage as Bharat Ahlawwat 's character, Raghav, decides to learn the guitar in a heartfelt effort to impress his wife, Reet ( Ayushi Khurana ). What makes this track even more special is that Bharat knows how to play the guitar in real life—a passion he developed after watching the film Rockstar, which inspired him to learn the basics of the musical instrument. Bringing a slice of his true self into the role, he performed the sequence himself, adding an authentic and heartwarming touch to the moment. Off-screen too, Bharat didn't miss the chance to share his passion for music. During breaks, he entertained his co-stars with impromptu jam sessions, turning the set into a lively, music-filled space full of laughter and bonding. Bharat said, 'I've always loved playing the guitar and getting a chance to do it on my show was so much exciting. It allowed me to bring a piece of myself into the character. I actually got inspired to learn the basics of guitar after watching the movie Rockstar — it left a deep impression on me. Though I'm not a professional, I've kept at it over the years. When my co-stars found out, they insisted I play something for them too. We've been bonding over music during our breaks, and I didn't miss the chance to lighten the mood by playing a few tracks. It brought such a fresh energy to the set. These are the little moments we cherish as actors — they stay with us long after the scenes are done.' While the story continues to unfold Reet and Raghav's emotional journey, Bharat is striking the right notes, both with his acting and his music on the sets. As Raghav and Reet continue to deal with unspoken emotions and missed chances with Rohit's ( Aasim Khan ) entry into their lives. Will Reet and Raghav finally confess their love, or will fate take a different turn?
