6.0-magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia's Bengkulu, damages buildings

The tremors occurred at 2.52am Jakarta time Friday, with the epicentre located 47km southwest of Bengkulu City, at a depth of 84km below the seabed. No tsunami warning was issued, as the tremors were not expected to generate giant waves.
