Motorcyclist dies after collision in eastern New Brunswick
A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision in eastern New Brunswick over the weekend.
A 36-year-old man from Riverview has died following a two-vehicle collision near Saint-Louis-de-Kent, N.B., early Sunday morning.
The RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Route 11 between Exit 75 and Exit 64 near Saint-Charles around 3:10 a.m.
Police believe the crash happened when a car, which was travelling southbound on Route 11, hit a motorcycle travelling in the same direction.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The Richibucto Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office also attended the scene.
Both lanes of Route 11 were closed for several hours. The road reopened around 12:30 p.m.

A RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation, which is ongoing.
