Motorcyclist dies after collision in eastern New Brunswick

A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision in eastern New Brunswick over the weekend.
A 36-year-old man from Riverview has died following a two-vehicle collision near Saint-Louis-de-Kent, N.B., early Sunday morning.
The RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Route 11 between Exit 75 and Exit 64 near Saint-Charles around 3:10 a.m.
Police believe the crash happened when a car, which was travelling southbound on Route 11, hit a motorcycle travelling in the same direction.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The Richibucto Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office also attended the scene.
Both lanes of Route 11 were closed for several hours. The road reopened around 12:30 p.m.

A RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation, which is ongoing.

A 30-year-old man is facing numerous charges, including driving while suspended and violating probation, after leading Sudbury police on a chase in a stolen SUV on Saturday. A 30-year-old man is facing numerous charges, including driving while suspended and violating probation, after leading Sudbury police on a chase in a stolen SUV on Saturday. Police were alerted to the case when a 911 caller at 10:45 a.m. said a red SUV was being driven aggressively on the Kingsway. 'Further information provided was that this vehicle had struck another vehicle on the side of the road and fled the area,' police said in a news release Monday. Five minutes later, another caller said the same vehicle was now on Falconbridge Road heading to Garson. Cornered him in Falconbridge 'Witnesses described the vehicle to be travelling at 170 km/h and was being driven in the oncoming lane,' police said. 'Officers located the vehicle in Garson. The driver continued to drive through stop signs and drove to a private property in Falconbridge.' Sudbury police were able to block him in and prevent him from driving away. 'Officers directed the driver to exit the vehicle; however, the driver refused,' the news release said. 'The driver was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. Through the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the downtown core earlier in the day.' The 30-year-old suspect, who has no fixed address, has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, three counts of violating probation, one count of failing to comply with a release order, driving while suspended, and three counts of driving through a stop sign. He appeared in weekend bail court, police said, and was released.

Police say they have reason to believe he may have fainted. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid several seatbelt related charges on a Rockwood driver, after multiple adults and young children were not strapped in. During a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere, or RIDE check, Wellington OPP stopped a vehicle on Main Street. Police said they found two adults and a four-year-old were not wearing seatbelts. A six-year-old was allegedly sitting on the lap of an adult, while a nine-month-old and a five-month-old were not properly fastened into their car seats. The nine-month-old's car seat was not attached to the seat and the five-month-old's seatbelt was not properly attached. The driver of the vehicle faced three charges and was given a warning, while two adult passengers were also charged.
