You can't win an audience by being predictable: Shanvi Srivastava
As an actor, my goals have evolved; I now aspire to be seen as a long-term contender rather than someone who was once a successful actor,' says Shanvi Srivastava . This shift in perspective is reflected in her recent film choices, particularly her upcoming Malayalam film directed by HK Prakash, which also stars Tom Shine Chacko. Shanvi plays a grey character in what she describes as a 'new-age film' that explores the world of narcotics through a wacky lens. 'If there's one industry where I'd blindly trust a script without even asking who the lead is, it's Malayalam. The moment they asked for more dates for promotions than my actual shoot schedule, I knew this project was the real deal,' she says. Excerpts: 'Unpredictability is the best way to win an audience' After exploring such a role in Richie Rich, Shanvi reveals she's now tackling another 'not-so-good' character in her upcoming film. 'My character in this new film is no Miss Goody Two Shoes. I know that's the kind of image I've had so far, but here, I'm stepping into a bossy, not-so-good space,' she says, adding, 'I've realised that unpredictability is the best way to win audiences. They would never expect me to turn out bad. 'I remember meeting a big Tamil actor who told me they were considering me for a huge film after watching me in Avane Srimannarayana. That film didn't take off because of lockdown, and I can't help but think where I would have been professionally if that movie had happened. ' After Avane Srimannarayana's success, she took on two smaller Kannada films, Bang and Kasturi Mahal, which gave her a taste of working on smaller productions. 'Until then, I had only done big films with known actors. So, after the big high, came the lows,' Shanvi observes, and adds that it was this shift that changed her approach to selecting films: 'Now my judgment about picking films has also changed: I will pick technically strong teams, and look at doing long-term work rather than short-term success,' she says. 'A middle path must be found where all good films get their due' Reflecting on the current pan-Indian trend, she observes, 'This is a concept that has worked like magic, but at the same time, it has created a distance between local films and what you term as 'pan-India films.' So, you're either a superstar or you're a nobody. To be a pan-India film, the project needs to be of a certain scale. And smaller films never get a chance to be pitted in this scenario. It's just not fair. Aachar and Co was such a wonderful film. But it didn't get the chance to be appreciated on a larger platform because it wasn't a pan-India film. Such films also need recognition. There had to be an amalgamation of the bigger films that go the whole distance across the nation and local films that stay in the region - a middle path must be found where all good films get their due,' says Shanvi.

Wait, Mansory's Monopoly-Themed G-Wagen Is Actually Awesome
Mansory likes to make audacious cars. The company's creations often have bold body kits, colorful interiors, and too much carbon fiber. But its latest build is actually really cool. The aftermarket specialist collaborated with pop artist Alec Monopoly to hand-paint 10 convertible Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs, each a one-off creation. Alec's art frequently features the Mr. Monopoly character, which is prominent on Mansory's new G-Class. The example shown here has the character on the shortened rear doors, with splashes of teal, yellow, pink, blue, green, and red on the sides. The spare tire carrier on the back features a colorful motif of Mr. Monopoly, Scrooge McDuck, and Richie Rich. Photo by: Mansory Photo by: Mansory Under the hood is Mercedes' twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine, which now makes 820 horsepower and 848 pound-feet of torque. Mansory reprogrammed the electronics, increasing the output from the standard 585 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. The modded G-Class can hit 62 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and reach a 155-mph top speed. Inside, the 10 lucky customers will be able to pick the leather type, color, quilting, and more. However, the cabin doesn't escape Alec's creativity. Several trim pieces will feature handcrafted designs, like on the door trim and the dashboard handle. The three money-loving characters are featured throughout the cabin, with plenty of references to cash, which you'll need plenty of if you want this Mansory. Not only does it feature unique artwork, but each Mercedes undergoes significant modifications to accommodate the convertible roof, and that's not cheap. Apparently, one baby was unlucky enough to be called Richie Rich Putin. The moniker is a combination of actor Macaulay Culkin's 1990s film Richie Rich and the last name of Russian president, Vladimir Putin. 'I used to think the name laws are more strict [in Germany] than in other countries,' the Reddit user wrote. 'The city will decide whether the name you chose is an actual name or the child will be bullied for it.' But somehow, little Richie Rich Putin wasn't picked up on by authorities. 'Just felt like I had to share that while lying awake thinking about my soon-to-be-born child's name,' they added. But after sharing the unusual name on the social media site people couldn't believe any parent would really use the name on their bundle of joy. At 35 weeks pregnant, by far the trickiest part of pregnancy for me in the past few months (minus the insomnia and countless night-time wee breaks!) has been trying to decide on a baby name. The debate comes up time and time again on social media forums - can you choose the same name that was a "potential" for a friend's baby? It's a very divisive topic and opinions are always I don't want to be THAT person. While some will argue there's thousands of other names out there to choose from, others will say you need to choose YOUR all, there's no guarantee that person will even have another baby. Then there's also the issue of finding a name you to research it online and read one negative comment amongst hundreds of positives that you just can't shake off. I made that very mistake when I fell in love with a certain name (I won't reveal it because I don't want to ruin it for others!) ...only to see someone point out that it constantly gets autocorrected on a phone to something rather rude instead. So, back to the drawing board we went.. Just five weeks to go and it looks like our little one is going to be known as 'baby gal' for a little while longer!

Emma Hutton, the U.K.-based mother who crowned her daughter Elae, doesn't appear to understand why haters have a difficult time embracing the unconventional name. 'I know everyone's not going to like it. I know it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea,' Hutton barked in a viral video. 'But I like different names.' 'It's 2025,' she added.
