Search for missing woman feared to be in danger is over, SC sheriff says
A search for a missing South Carolina woman who was feared to be in danger is over. Chelsea Clayton was safety located, the Richland County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday. 'Thanks to the stories run by our local media partners, a community member that had seen Clayton knew to contact (the sheriff's department) and was able to advise of Clayton's location,' the sheriff's department said in a news release. Clayton was publicly reported missing Monday. The 33-year-old had not been seen for days, the sheriff's department said. Clayton was last seen July 19, according to the release. At about 6:20 p.m. last Saturday, Clayton was seen leaving the Circle K convenience store/gas station, at the intersection of Leesburg and Trotter roads, when she got into an unknown vehicle that was headed toward Garners Ferry Road, the sheriff's department said. The sheriff's department did not say if foul play was suspected in Clayton's disappearance, but said the 33-year-old 'is believed to be a danger to herself.' Information about why Clayton could be a threat to herself was not available. The sheriff's department also said it's also concerned that Clayton got into a vehicle with an unknown individual. The median home in Richland County listed for $233,950 in June, up 1.7% from the previous month's $229,950, an analysis of data from shows. 22-year-old Wisconsin man dies at July 4th celebration, witnesses unwilling to speak with authorities
(WFRV) – Authorities in southwest Wisconsin announced that a 22-year-old man died during a Fourth of July celebration. According to the Richland County Sheriff's Office, on July 4, around 11:25 p.m., first responders were sent to an address for a report of a man who fell from a truck. The release says the man was unresponsive. Life saving measures were tried, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was identified as 22-year-old Ethan Peper from Reedsburg, authorities said. Authorities reportedly tried to speak with witnesses who were there during the incident, but were unwilling to speak with law enforcement and give statements. Shawano County man dies after getting hit by a vehicle early Monday morning, investigation underway The initial investigation reportedly described Peper sitting on the tailgate of a truck when he fell onto the roadway. The Richland County Sheriff's Office believes there are people who saw the incident who have more information. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call 608-647-2583. Young boy dies in Mansfield; detectives believe child was left in hot vehicle
MANSFIELD, Ohio (WJW) – The Mansfield Police Department is investigating after a young boy died on Thursday. According to the police department, officers responded to a medical emergency in the 100 block of Wood Street. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where investigators said he was pronounced dead. According to Mansfield police, 'detectives are currently working the case as this appears the young boy was left in the vehicle during the extreme heat today.' Former Canton doctor charged with lying about attempted murder of pregnant woman on U.S. citizenship application Weather records showed that temperatures reached 91 degrees in Mansfield on Thursday afternoon.
