The Miami Dolphins will wear an alternate uniform that has yet to be unveiled for one divisional game next season, the NFL announced during the draft. The uniforms will be the first of the NFL's "Rivalries" partnership with Nike, which will begin with teams from the AFC East and NFC West in the 2025 season. Similar to Nike's "City Connect" partnership with Major League Baseball, teams will wear uniforms "born from local community insights." The NFL is set to announce the full 2025 schedule on May 14 and that'll include announcements for which games will be designated as the debut of the "Rivalries" uniforms. However, fans will have a long wait before they see what Nike cooked up for the Dolphins. The NFL says they'll unveil the uniforms "prior to the first rivalry game." Following their introduction, the "Rivalries" uniforms will be in rotation as an alternate for three more seasons. That could change this year, though. The Rams are part of the NFL's new 'Rivalries' program, which will give the eight teams in the AFC East and NFC West alternate uniforms for select divisional games. The exact details of this program haven't yet been revealed and it's unclear when the uniforms will be unveiled, but one report confirms this won't just be jerseys and pants. According to Zach Cohen of FanDuel, teams participating in the 'Rivalries' program will be getting alternate helmets. Riddell, which makes helmets for NFL players, also hinted at alternate designs after the program was announced in April. There are a number of different directions the Rams could go with their alternate uniform and helmet, from black, blue and yellow to navy and white. We'll just have to wait and see what Nike and the NFL decide. The "Rivalries" uniforms are said to be similar to MLB and the NBA's "City" uniforms, which pay homage to the local communities of each team. The program will last for three seasons, presumably so the uniforms can be worn against each divisional opponent. Alternate uniforms and throwbacks can still be worn during those seasons as well. Speaking of which, the NFL also announced earlier this offseason that they will be expanding this season the number of times that a team can wear alternate or throwback uniforms, which means we could be seeing more of the Jaguars' "Prowler Throwbacks."
