'That's crazy': Rams stars react to new Rivalries uniform after getting sneak peek

USA Today2 days ago
Kyren Williams: 'Y'all going to like that one. I promise you that.'
The Los Angeles Rams will unveil a completely new uniform as part of the 'Rivalries' series on Aug. 28, which they will then wear once a season for the next three years against one of their NFC West rivals. This season, they will rock the new look against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 16 at home.
Fans are anxious to see which direction Nike and the Rams are going with this new series, whether it's a black and yellow uniform set or a navy and yellow combination under the bright lights of SoFi Stadium.
The Rams gave their players a sneak peek at the new uniforms recently and they were blown away. Kobie Turner called them 'hard' and said 'that's crazy' upon seeing the jersey for the first time, as did defensive back Quentin Lake.
Kyren Williams promises fans are going to like them and Tyler Higbee seemed to love the new look, too.
'This is amazing,' Steve Avila said.
Matthew Stafford even made an appearance, casually saying, "these are sweet" as he walked by.
There were no hints given as to what the uniforms look like, but the Rams continue to tease a dark color that borders on black and navy. Further investigation shows the logo the Rams have teased is actually navy, but there's no confirmation as to whether the uniforms are black or navy – or something entirely different.
Only two more weeks until the full reveal.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Skyy Moore reveals mindset after 88-yard punt return touchdown

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Skyy Moore addressed the media after Friday's preseason loss to the Seattle Seahawks, expressing his emotion after reaching the end zone during his 88-yard punt return touchdown late in the fourth quarter. "It felt great, just showing that sense of resiliency. Obviously, I had two drops this game, and it felt like I was in my head after the first one", said Moore, "To go back there and catch a punt return knowing my history of punt returns and take it back to the house. It meant a lot to me, this game, and a lot for my confidence. Just showing myself that you can't lose if you keep going." Moore, who has played through multiple obstacles in his career over the last few seasons, described the difficulties of getting out of a negative headspace. "It's a physical game. Everything that I've got physically, God-gifted, is the reason I'm here. I feel like 90% of the game is mental. Everybody that plays in this league goes through those mental obstacles, I feel like it's about how you do it," said Moore, "Whether you win or lose, you just have to keep getting up and keep going. I feel like that's the biggest thing people should take out of what went on today. The two-time Super Bowl champion contributed mightily at the start of his career before battling injuries. Moore notably scored his first NFL touchdown in Kansas City's victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

Sam Darnold impresses in preseason debut with Seattle Seahawks, win against Kansas City Chiefs

SEATTLE -- Sam Darnold looked the part of a franchise quarterback in his first appearance at Lumen Field as the Seattle Seahawks beat the Kansas City Chiefs 33-16 in a preseason game on Friday night. Darnold, who did not appear in the Seattle Seahawks' preseason opener against the Las Vegas Raiders, completed 4 of 4 passes for 34 yards on the opening drive. Darnold, who signed to a three-year, $100.5 million contract with Seattle in the offseason, made good use of both his legs and his tight ends during his sole series. He had no issues rolling out to either his left or right, locating tight ends AJ Barner and Elijah Arroyo for short passes, as well as fullback Robbie Ouzts and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba for deeper completions. 'I thought today, first of all, it was awesome just to get out there in front of the 12s,' Darnold said. 'And that atmosphere, too, I felt like that was kind of a perfect atmosphere. It felt like it was almost November, December already out there in the rain.' Backup quarterback Drew Lock also impressed in relief of Darnold on a slippery Seattle evening, throwing a couple of touchdown passes to wide receiver Jake Bobo, and completing 10 of 12 passes for 129 yards. Coach Mike Macdonald was particularly complimentary of Bobo's performance. 'This guy's a Seahawk, man,' Macdonald said of Bobo, 'The way he operates and goes and attacks the football." Running backs Zach Charbonnet and Damien Martinez each added touchdowns on the ground in the first and third quarters, respectively. The Chiefs, meanwhile, did not play quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and other starters from the team that fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in last season's Super Bowl. Backup quarterback Gardner Minshew found tight end Robert Tonyan for a 1-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. The Seahawks' defense in large part held strong, limiting the Chiefs' reserves to three points in the second half. Kansas City wide receiver Skyy Moore, though, did return a punt for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. 'Now, we're chasing perfection as much as you can't obtain it,' safety Julian Love said. 'That's kind of what we're trying to make the standard on defense.' After rushing for the fifth-fewest yards as a team in 2024, the Seahawks have made it their prerogative to be more effective on the ground in 2025. They demonstrated on Friday, racking up 268 rushing yards on 48 carries. Five different players rushed for at least 30 yards. 'The backs ran really hard,' Macdonald said. 'Every back today, I thought, ran the ball hard and going forward, how we finish plays, I can't wait to watch it.' Since Noah Fant is now a member of the Cincinnati Bengals, tight end remains a key position battle for the Seahawks. Arroyo and Barner combined for three catches and 24 yards on Friday, not letting any passing attempts escape them despite slippery conditions. Barner is the more veteran player, with 30 catches and 245 receiving yards under his belt from last season. But Arroyo, who was a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, has been more productive in the preseason. He has four catches for 33 yards through two exhibition games.
