4-star QB Teddy Jarrard is ready to commit
Four-star quarterback Teddy Jarrard is ready to decide where he will play college football. The class of 2027 passer is down to five schools: the Georgia Bulldogs, Ohio State Buckeyes, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Michigan Wolverines and Penn State Nittany Lions. Jarrard will announce his commitment on Thursday, July 24. He had a chance to visit all of his top five schools this summer. The four-star is projected to commit to Notre Dame. The rising junior is ranked as the No. 195 prospect in the nation and the No. 15 quarterback per the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 28 recruit in Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback has steadily risen in the rankings and is No. 52 player in the country in the Rivals300. Georgia hosted Jarrard on a visit on June 1. The Bulldogs are currently without any quarterbacks commitments in the class of 2027. Georgia has just two commitments in the 2027 recruiting cycle, which is normal at this point in time. Notably, the Bulldogs have a commitment from five-star class of 2026 quarterback Jared Curtis, who is projected to be Georgia's quarterback of the future. Jarrard plays high school football for North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia. Jarrard is the second-ranked quarterback in Georgia in the class of 2027. In 2024, Jarrard earned offensive player of the year honors with North Cobb. He totaled 2,783 passing yards and 34 passing touchdowns in 2024. He also completed an impressive 72% of his passes. Jarrard helped North Cobb go 11-2 and advance to the second round of the 6A high school football playoffs in Georgia.

Oklahoma Sooners commits climb in latest Rivals 300 updated rankings
There are just a few weeks before fall camp gets underway, which puts the 2025 football season right around the corner. As the Oklahoma Sooners prepare for the season, future Sooners in the 2026 recruiting class will be preparing for their senior season in high school. Led by quarterback Bowe Bentley, the Oklahoma Sooners have the No. 26 recruiting class in the cycle. Ahead of the senior season, Rivals, which recently merged with On3, released it's updated and reconfigured top 300 player rankings for the cycle. Currently, the Sooners have just four players included in the Rivals 300 but are trending positively for a pair of top 300 targets in wide receiver Davian Groce and edge Jake Kruel. After last week's update, though, where do future Sooners land in the latest Rivals 300? More: Oklahoma Sooners 2026 recruiting commitment tracker No. 41 Bowe Bentley, QB - Committed Bowe Bentley is Oklahoma's top-rated commitment in the 2026 recruiting class. The Sooners earned a big recruiting win when he chose OU over LSU. The Sooners see a dual-threat quarterback in Bentley. He had a huge year for Celina, leading them to an undefeated season and state title in Texas 4A football. Bentley saw a big jump in the Rivals300 release and is considered the No. 4 quarterback in the class. Bentley climbed 15 spots in the latest update. No. 54 Davian Groce, WR - Target One of the top remaining targets for the Oklahoma Sooners, wide receiver Davian Groce has been trending toward the Sooners for some time, but there hasn't been a lot of buzz lately. Groce is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands and can help an offense at running back, outside wide receiver, in the slot, and can even make an impact as a return man. Groce dropped by three spots in the Rivals 300. No. 151 Daniel Norman, EDGE - Committed Daniel Norman saw one of the biggest jumps in the rankings in the class, moving up to just outside the top 150. Norman rose more than 200 spots. He's got big-time athleticism and great size for the position at 6-foot-4. No. 175 Jake Kreul, EDGE - Target Oklahoma target Jake Kreul had a strong performance in a recent Rivals camp, showing off his pass rush ability. What did that earn him? A 135-spot drop in the Rivals 300. 247Sports ranks the IMG Academy prospect as the No. 61 player overall, while ESPN sees Kreul as a five-star talent and the No. 22 player in the country for the 2026 recruiting class. He's a refined edge rusher with the ability to mix speed and power to win. Kreul has great size and length and will be a difference maker at the collegiate level. No. 177 Tyler Ruxer, TE - Committed Tyler Ruxer saw a big jump after committing to the Oklahoma Sooners. He's got big-time speed that's capable of making big plays in the passing game. He's expected to convert to tight end at the collegiate level, which will provide Oklahoma a dynamic threat down the middle of the field. Ruxer rose nearly 200 spots in the latest update. No. 254 Deacon Schmitt, OL - Committed The Oklahoma Sooners got a big win when they landed four-star offensive line prospect Deacon Schmitt. He had big-time offers from around the SEC and Big Ten. He'll make the transition from offensive tackle to interior offensive line for the Sooners, adding to the guard depth that Bill Bedenbaugh has recruited over the last few cycles. Schmitt climbed nearly 50 spots in the Rivals 300. Contact/Follow us @SoonersWire on X, and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Oklahoma news, notes, and opinions. LSU football wide receiver commit remains top ranked pass catcher in new rankings
LSU wide receiver commit Tristen Keys was named the best at his position in the initial Rivals300 rankings for the 2026 recruiting class. There are four committed to play at SEC schools in the top 10. Keys committed to LSU in March. The Hattiesburg, MS native is the top recruit out of Mississippi and No. 7 overall, per RIvals' Industry Rankings. He chose the Tigers over Ole Miss, USC, and Alabama. Bowe Bentley moves up in Rivals updated 2026 recruiting rankings
New Oklahoma Sooners offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Ben Arbuckle liked what he saw early on in the 2026 recruiting class, specifically Celina (Texas) High School quarterback Bowe Bentley. Since then, OU's new offensive play-caller has been able to sit back and watch as the rest of the country caught up in their evaluation of Bentley. Arbuckle offered the four-star prospect early on in his time with the Sooners, after a junior season in which Bentley led Celina to a perfect season and a state championship. Plenty of other programs like Georgia and LSU came around on Bentley and showed plenty of interest. Still, the lifelong Sooner fan committed to Oklahoma last month, picking OU over LSU. Now, it looks like some of the recruiting services are giving Bentley more love as well. Rivals released their updated Rivals300 rankings on Monday, with Bentley coming in as the No. 4 QB currently in the recruiting class of 2026. Bentley now slots in behind only three signal-callers in the 2026 class in Rivals' rankings. Five-star prospects Dia Bell (committed to Texas) and Jared Curtis (committed to Georgia) top the list, with fellow four-star Faizon Brandon (committed to Tennessee) ranked one spot above Bentley. If all holds, Rivals' top four 2026 QBs would all be headed to the SEC. Bentley is Rivals' No. 41 player nationally, and the No. 2 player in the state of Texas. He's ranked higher than the player he took the spot of in OU's 2026 recruiting class, as Florida State commit Jaden O'Neal was ranked as the No. 27 QB by Rivals. Bentley is hoping to help end a long line of blue-chip quarterback recruits for the Sooners that finished their careers elsewhere. While Oklahoma has had plenty of success with transfer QBs over the last decade, their best high school signees have typically transferred out of the program before their careers were over, despite OU landing plenty of five-stars on the recruiting trail. Blake Bell was Oklahoma's last five-star quarterback recruit to finish his career in Norman, but he finished college football playing tight end. Bentley may not be a five-star yet, but he's hoping to change Oklahoma's fortunes in QB recruiting, as he's in line to be the face of the program at some point down the road. Notre Dame OT commit Grayson McKeogh makes a huge jump in Rivals 2026 rankings
🚨NEW🚨 Notre Dame OT commit Grayson McKeogh ranks No. 13 and 4-stars in the initial 2026 Rivals300☘️ If you haven't noticed, Notre Dame football does not recruit off of rankings, and it has paid off big time with the commitment of Pennsylvania offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh. The 6-foot, 7-inch and 275-pound tackle picked the Irish over offers from Penn State, Alabama and others was given a huge boost in Rivals updated 2026 rankings. McKeogh rose from No. 181 all the way to No. 13 overall, making him a high 4-star prospect. He's on the cusp of getting his 5th-star as well, and that could happen with an impressive senior season. While it's exciting to see McKeogh make such a big jump, it just solidifies that Notre Dame made the right decision going hard after him. There aren't many schools across the country that do as good of a job as the Irish do identifying elite offensive line talent, as there have been many that were not as highly ranked making immediate impacts. A few names quickly jump off the page such as Joe Alt and Anthonie Knapp, great examples of impeccable scouting and disregard for recruiting rankings. Notre Dame has another elite offensive tackle heading to the program with the addition of McKeogh.
