GANGLAND machete nuts were spotted dumping a getaway car before speeding off in another motor after "chopping up" two men in a turf war murder bid. The pair drove four miles to Blantyre, Lanarkshire, following the lunchtime bloodbath at a car repair garage owned by Robert Daniel in East Kilbride. 5 Two men were seeing leaving the suspected getaway car before it was torched 5 The burnt-out motor was found in Blantyre, four miles away from the attack 5 Garage boss Robert Daniel was said by sources to have been the main target. 5 Forensics officers at the scene of Monday's attack in East Kilbride. They then clambered into a red Vauxhall Astra which had followed them to a rendezvous point near a children's nursery before it raced away. A witness described seeing the mobsters dump the blue Audi A5 in a street, where it was set ablaze just over seven hours later at around 9pm. The source, who asked not to be named, told The Scottish Sun: "Both cars drove into the street together. "The blue car parked up and two guys got out. They jumped into the red Astra which had followed them in. "I didn't think anything of it until much later when the blue motor went up in flames. "Police and the fire service came down and put it out. "Cops were guarding it overnight before it was taken away on a 911 recovery truck. "It was only later someone said it was linked to the attack in East Kilbride. It's worrying for sure." The burnt-out car yesterday sat with its bonnet flipped open and red and white hazard tape wrapped around its charred bodywork. What looked like a rag next to the motor's fuel tank could also be seen. Detectives are understood to be examining CCTV of the two hoods abandoning it on Monday near Calderside Nursery Centre. Extensive investigations are ongoing and officers are carrying out enquiries to trace three male suspects wearing dark clothing and face coverings. In an appeal for information, Detective Superintendent Martin McGhee said: "We believe this was a targeted incident. "We believe the car that was set on fire was also used in the earlier serious assault. "We understand these incidents will be concerning for the community but please be assured we will bring those involved to justice." The fresh details emerged as forensics teams were pictured scouring the area outside CS Accident Repair Garage in East Kilbride. Convicted heroin dealer Robert Daniel, 50, a high-ranking member of the Glasgow clan, is a director. Underworld sources say he was the target when blade thugs burst in but two other men, aged 45 and 41, were seriously wounded instead. 5 Steven Gerrard posed with Ross McGill when he left his role at the Union Bears. We told how the hoods were acting on the orders of Dubai-based ex-Rangers ultra Ross McGill - said to be connected to bitter Daniel enemies, the Lyons family. We unmasked McGill who was previously pictured with former Rangers boss Steven Gerrard when McGill left his role in 2021 as a leader in the Union Bears ultras group. It was the latest escalation of a turf war that erupted in Edinburgh in March with firebombings and has spread across the central belt. McGill's self-styled group Tamu Junto has claimed responsibility for a wave of firebombings across the central belt, targeting associates of jailed crime kingpin Mark Richardson, 38, and the Daniel family.

New details emerged as forensic teams were seen scouring the area outside CS Autocare Accident Repair Garage which has Daniel, 50, listed as a director. We told yesterday how two men, aged 41 and 45, were "chopped up" by hoods acting on the orders of Dubai-based former Rangers ultra Ross McGill. Detectives have today called on the public for information in the wake of the latest gang feud carnage sweeping across Scotland's central belt. The hoods pounced around 1.25pm as they stormed the Wilson Place premises. Emergency services attended and two injured men were rushed to hospital for treatment. Extensive investigations are ongoing and officers are carrying out enquiries to trace three male suspects wearing dark clothing and face coverings. Later on Monday locals raised the alarm over a vehicle fire at around 9.15pm. Officers were called to the Boswell Drive area of Blantyre where a blue Audi A5 had been deliberately set on fire. It was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no injuries. A local in Blantyre told how he saw fire crews tackling the burning motor in the street outside his home. He said: "The first thing I saw was blue lights coming through the window, and then I looked outside and saw the firefighters around this burning motor. "I've never seen anything like it. The car has been totally destroyed and another motor beside it has been badly damaged by the heat." When told cops were linking it to the attacks in nearby East Kilbride he added: "I was actually driving by there earlier yesterday but I had no idea. It's shocking to think this is going on around you. Hopefully they'll get whoever is responsible." Detective Superintendent Martin McGhee said: 'We believe this was a targeted incident. From our enquiries so far, we believe the car that was set on fire was also used in the earlier serious assault. 'I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed either of these incidents to contact us as soon as possible. 'In addition, anyone who has CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist our enquiries. "We understand these incidents will be concerning for the local community but please be assured we will bring those involved to justice.' The murder bid at convicted drug dealer Daniel's workplace came as the terrifying gangland war raging in the central belt escalated again. The victims were rushed to hospital with serious wounds as cops flooded the scene in East Kilbride. A source said of the brazen 1.30pm attack: "They were out to get Robert Daniel but two others have ended up getting chopped up."

Two men brutally attacked at garage owned by notorious Daniel crime gang member

TWO men were rushed to hospital after a brutal attack at a garage owned by the notorious nephew of late crime lord Jamie Daniel. The pair aged 45 and 41 were brutally assaulted this afternoon as Scotland's gang war erupted in fresh violence. Insiders say convicted drug dealer Robert Daniel, 50, was the target at his garage in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, for hoods acting under orders from Dubai-based hood Ross McGill, 31 - linked to the Lyons gang. 4 4 4 4 Cops are probing the latest escalation in a terrifying turf war that's been raging for more than two months. A heavy police presence was seen outside CS Accident Repair Garage hours after two men were subjected to a brutal assault. Detectives and uniformed cops were seen guarding the property in the town's Wilson Place - a small industrial unit close to the Whirlies Roundabout. An ambulance was seen outside the unit as a probe into the incident began. An insider said: 'This is a worrying escalation and there is no doubt the people behind these attacks have been out for blood - and now they've got it. 'This was a calculated and brutal attack. 'Anyone who thinks this ongoing war is about to end any time soon is sadly mistaken.' The savagery is the latest in a wave of incidents across Edinburgh and Glasgow linked to a mob run by former Union Bears ultra McGill. The attack comes days after we unmasked the 31-year-old as an aspiring mob boss out for revenge over a £500,000 drug deal rip-off using fake notes. The garage has Daniel listed as a director. He was previously sentenced in 2005 to eight years for heroin dealing with Judge Lord Nimmo Smith branding the crime "a pernicious social evil". We told how Daniel cheated death once before in 2017 when he was shot while in his motor outside his home in Stepps, near Glasgow. Crime clan chiefs hired an ex-squaddie to carry out the hit on the convicted drug dealer in a failed assassination. Underworld sources claimed the Lyons mob were the prime suspects for ordering the kill bid on Daniel, then aged 45. We told how Daniel was shot on his shoulder as he reversed his Skoda Octavia out of his driveway amid a string of tit-for-tat attacks between the two mobs. The hood — nephew of late crime boss Jamie — had just returned from a children's birthday party with family when he was shot at point-blank range. And now eight years on his business has been targeted - with the Lyons said to have had a hand in the carnage. We told how McGill - an ex-Rangers ultra dubbed Miami - is waging a terrifying gangland war on Scotland's streets after rising to the top table of the nation's organised crime network. The former Union Bears chief was pictured at Ibrox in 2021 with then Gers boss Steven Gerrard, 44, and two years earlier with captain James Tavernier, 33. But he left his role with the ultras group just months before he was due to appear in court in early 2022 in connection with a probe into drug dealing and gangsterism. He initially fled to Spain before resurfacing in Dubai from where he's been calling the shots on a vengeful campaign of violence sparked by a dodgy cocaine deal. His self-styled group Tamu Junto has claimed responsibility for a wave of firebombings across the central belt since April, targeting associates of caged crime kingpin Mark Richardson, 38, and the Glasgow-based Daniel mob. A source said: 'McGill is Scotland's most wanted gangster.' A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 1.25pm on Monday we received a report of a serious assault on Wilson Place, East Kilbride. 'Emergency services attended, and a 45-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Hairmyres and a 41-year-old man was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. 'Enquiries are ongoing.'

Gangland 'machete' attack at garage owned by Daniel crime clan figure leaves two men injured

The attack took place at Robert Daniel's car garage in East Kilbride this afternoon. Two men have been seriously injured in a brutal 'machete' attack at a garage owned by gangland figure Robert Daniel. Today, at around 1.25pm emergency crews raced to a garage owned by high-ranking gangland figure Robert Daniel in Wilson Place, East Kilbride, after receiving reports of a serious assault. The Record understands a machete was used in the attack. ‌ Police and an ambulance were spotted at the 50-year-old's accident repair shop and images from the scene show officers appearing to search inside the building. ‌ Upon attending, a 45-year-old man was rushed to University Hospital Hairmyres whilst a 41-year-old man was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Police Scotland say enquiries remain ongoing. A source told the Record that a senior member of the Daniel crime family was injured in the attack and that an attack on the Daniel family has been "coming for weeks." Robert's relatives Bonzo Daniel, 45, and Frances Fraggle Green, 41, have previously been named as top targets on McGill's hit list. The source said: 'There is big money on all the Daniel family heads and they know this, so have been trying to keep out of the firing line. 'But it was only a matter of time before one of them was caught out and about, because Mr Big has been getting a lot of information passed to him by people about the Daniel family. 'This isn't the end of it and he's just getting started." ‌ The Record understands that Robert Daniel was the intended target of the attack. The source added: "The TMJ lads are meant to have phoned the garage two minutes before they went in and asked for Big Robert. He answered so they knew he was there and they steamed into the premises.' ‌ This comes after we reported that the Daniel crime clan are at the top of Dubai-based gangster Ross McGill's hit list as the hood wages a bloody war in Scotland. After Edinburgh kingpin Mark Richardson ripped him off in a £500k cocaine deal, McGill, known as "Mr Big", has been orchestrating a series of violent attacks across the country since March. When the Daniel mob became targets over their close association with Richardson, the feud spread from the capital to Glasgow. ‌ McGill, an ex-Rangers ultra and Union Bears boss, has offered £100k bounties for the scalps of his top targets. ‌ A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 1.25pm on Monday we received a report of a serious assault on Wilson Place, East Kilbride. ‌ 'Emergency services attended, and a 45-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Hairmyres and a 41-year-old man was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. ' Enquiries are ongoing.' ‌ Last week, family boss Steven 'Bonzo' Daniel returned to Glasgow after fleeing Scotland over fears for his safety. We told how McGill's enforcers, a faceless and fearless group called Tamo Junto (TMJ), are now tracking his every move as they wait for their moment to strike. Bonzo was reportedly flushed out of hiding in a bid to protect his family and business interests after they suffered a spate of targeted attacks. ‌ On May 13, the Record reported that his cousin Kelly 'Bo' Green's home on Drumchapel Road in Glasgow was attacked in the early hours of the morning. Kelly, 45, is the daughter of late kingpin Jamie Daniel and she is the widow of crime clam enforcer Kevin 'the Gerbil' Carroll - who was famously shot dead in an Asda car park in Robroyston in 2010. ‌ Kelly and Gerbil's youngest son was believed to have been in the house when it was torched. A man standing outside the large detached house, doused petrol over the windows and door, before another thug was shown running up and setting it alight in footage shared by Tamo Junto. Flames then quickly engulfed the front of the building. The clip, set to the tune of Keep on Running by The Spencer Davis Group, then switches to the home of Bonzo's uncle Norman Daniel on nearby Colston Drive. The small bungalow is seen catching fire before the screen turns black. ‌ Five days later, on April 19, a house registered to Bonzo's mum Annette was attacked. Images from the scene at Cortmalaw Gardens in Glasgow showed the property's windows appearing to be smashed in. In an unrelated attack in 2017, Garage boss Robert Daniel was gunned down by rivals outside his home in Glasgow. In the weeks before being shot in his car, the convicted dealer received police warnings that his life was in danger.
