N.S. man charged with sexual assault and weapons offences
A 51-year-old man from Ingomar, N.S., has been charged with multiple offences in connection with a sexual assault investigation. Shelburne District RCMP received a sexual assault report involving a firearm on May 9. Following an investigation, police say a woman was unknowingly given a noxious substance, held against her will and sexually assaulted at a residence in Shelburne County. 'Officers executed a search warrant at the home on May 22, seized evidence related to the offences and safely arrested a man who is known to the victim,' reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP. Robert Sean Williams, 51, has been charged with: sexual assault with a weapon two counts of uttering threats administering noxious thing kidnapping voyeurism two counts of overcoming resistance to commission of offence 10 firearms offences, including, but not limited to, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and careless use of a firearm Williams has also been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and psilocybin. Williams was also charged with overcoming resistance to commission of offence, 10 firearms offences and possession of cocaine and psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking. In a Tuesday news release, RCMP said officers found that a woman was given a noxious substance, held against her will and sexually assaulted. Williams' residence was searched on May 22, with officers finding evidence related to the offences. Williams was arrested the same day. The investigation, which is led by Shelburne District RCMP, is ongoing.
