Primeau had a 21-2-2 record this season with the Rocket, along with a 1.96 GAA and a .927 save percentage, before getting called up by the Canadiens after Samuel Montembeault tore two muscles in his groin during Game 3 of a first-round playoff series against the Washington Capitals. The Canadiens were eliminated with a 4-1 loss to the Capitals in Game 5 Wednesday night in Washington. Primeau, 25, can become a restricted free agent on July 1. Kapanen had 15-20-35 totals in 36 games this season with Timra IK in the Swedish Hockey League before joining the Canadiens. In three playoff games against the Capitals, the 21-year-old had one assist. The Canadiens selected the 6-foot-2, 194-pound forward in the second round (64th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft.

Laval Rocket Sign Yale University Captain Will Dineen To PTO

The Laval Rocket announced they have signed Yale University captain and forward Will Dineen to a professional tryout contract. Dineen has six goals and 18 points in 30 games for the Bulldogs this season, doubling his previous career-high in points. The 24-year-old recorded 19 goals and 45 points over his 99 game NCAA career. He was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team last season and won the Curt Hammer award as the USHL's Gentleman of the Year in 2021 with the Sioux Falls Stampede.
