It's Wani Kayrie - the singer with a golden heart and also the new rocking star in Malaysian music

Here comes Wani Kayrie, the singer with a golden voice and, at the same time, a young girl with a golden heart too. After five years in the music scene, her career is flying these days and she has come with a new EP "W2K" that will also include her new searing ballad "Biarkan". The album includes six songs in total, including her top hit "Cak Cak Cekuk" and also the lively single 'Aiman Tino". But despite her current success, Wani has also proved to be a young girl who is always ready to help the young ones. She is also currently playing a mentor/teacher/educator role for many youngsters. Whenever she is free from her gruelling music schedules, she spends time with several youngsters and gives them coaching and singing lessons. Known for her powerful she now spends some time coaching these youngsters to improve their vocal chords. In fact, during the launch of her new album in KL, some of her "students" -- among them, 11-year-old Mickalen Wong and college student Belle Lwin, also turned up in support of their 'mentor'. "It is just something I love to do. I met some of them because we love music and it is just wonderful that I have a chance to help them," said the 25-year-old Wani. "It is not something that needs to be shouted about. I'm just happy I can give them a lending hand." It is just a show that the talented Wani is just as charismatic when she is not singing and it gets better when she is just as happy helping youngsters as well as breaking the charts with her hits. Also on Friday, Wani marks another milestone in her music career today with the launch of her debut EP titled 'W2K', officially announced during the 'Wani Kayrie Listening Party', held at MyTOWNKL in collaboration with the ASR Festival by Ascott. Led by local entertainment label Rocketfuel Entertainment, the special event also served as the official launch of Wani's latest single titled 'Biarkan', a soul-stirring ballad that reflects Wani Kayrie's musical maturity and her evolution as an artist, now embracing a refreshed sound and identity. 'This EP Is For Everyone Has Been Waiting For ' After years of journeying through the music industry, Wani finally brings her dream to life with her first EP, a result of unwavering support from those who never stopped believing. 'Finally, after all this time, I'm able to gift this mini album to everyone who's been waiting. This is one of the most meaningful moments for me. I feel touched, excited, and extremely grateful – especially because the request for this album came from fans, family, and friends who believe in my talent,' said a grateful Wani . As for the EP title, Wani explained: 'I was born in the year 2000, so the name W2K is symbolic not only of my birth year, but also represents a new side of me as a singer. The songs in this EP are all different, each with a unique vibe, showcasing the diversity in my music ." She further added that the W2K concept aligns with current youth trends embracing the 'Y2K' lifestyle aesthetic – from fashion and music to self-expression: 'I want this EP to be relevant, trendy, and connected to the soul of my generation.' W2K comprises five tracks " Cak Cak Cekuk , Serius Ah , Aiman Tino , Matahari , Biarkan " together with a cover version of a popular tune. Each original track was produced with top local composers and lyricists, including Iqie Hugh, Hanis Rafi, Omar K, Shazriq Azeman, MFMF, Ezra Kong, Shane Kennedy and Karim Karam and more. As for her favourite tune in the EP, Wani said: 'I love "Cak Cak Cekuk" because I enjoy songs that uplift and celebrate culture. In life, we can't escape challenges, so a song like this helps us feel positive, confident and entertained.' Alongside the EP, a heartfelt ballad 'Biarkan" about a love that never came to be is also released. 'This song is about letting go of something that's no longer good for us, even if we still care. Sometimes, 'letting it be' is the best way to heal,' Wani expressed, admitting that the recording process came with its challenges. 'I had to record the song on different days, but I had to maintain the same emotions throughout. It was tough, but worth it because I'm really happy with the result.' Looking back at her career beginnings about a decade ago with the track 'Jangan Jangan', Wani views W2K as a crucial turning point marking her growth as an artist. 'For me, W2K is a very important transition. It introduces a fresher concept, style, and musical direction – for my long-time fans and also new listeners who are just discovering Wani Kayrie.' Early reactions from fans towards the EP's songs have been overwhelmingly positive. " I read that many fans are excited because each song has its own identity. I hope W2K becomes part of their daily playlist!' Wani also shared a heartfelt message to her fans and fellow dreamers: 'I hope W2K is more than just entertainment – I want it to be an inspiration. If I can achieve my dreams, so can you. Don't be afraid to carve out your own space in life. Believe and keep going ." Suspicious iPhone 16 Pro Max Promo? Singer Nadeera's Instagram Reportedly Hacked

Whether your social media account is set to private or public, it essentially serves as a digital diary or a space to connect with friends and family. Either way, the last thing you'd want is for someone to hack into your account and exploit it to scam your followers. It's even more troubling if you're a public figure with thousands or even millions of followers, as hackers and scammers are more likely to exploit the account or even just your name for personal gain. That's exactly what appears to have happened to Malaysian singer Nadeera, whose account seems to have been hacked after fans noticed suspicious activity. Here's what happened: Recently, Nadeera had been posting her usual updates on Instagram, including appearances and performances. However, on Wednesday (2nd July), fans began to suspect something was wrong. The singer's account suddenly promoted a suspicious sale offering three iPhone 16 Pro Max units at a cheap price. The caption read: 'Why cheap? Because the cheap redemption that we are holding is a gift and a sign of our gratitude for the profit exceeding the target. Therefore, we are holding this special for our loyal followers and the fastest winners.' If the unusual photo and caption weren't already a red flag, the post was signed off as 'Admin' rather than Nadeera herself – a clear indication that her account had most likely been hacked. The account later posted a similar photo, claiming that one unit had already been sold and that only two iPhone 16 Pro Max units remained, likely an attempt to pressure potential victims into acting quickly before the supposed promotion ended. The comments sections on both posts were also disabled, a clear move to prevent fans from warning others that it was a scam. Following the incident, Nadeera's agency, Rocketfuel Entertainment, issued a statement confirming that her Instagram account had indeed been hacked. They also warned fans not to click on any links related to the alleged iPhone 16 Pro Max promotion. 'We're in the process of retrieving the account. We appreciate all the information fans have provided,' the company wrote. It's truly unfortunate that this has happened to Nadeera, and we hope she regains access to her account soon. If her agency chooses to file a police report, there's also the possibility of taking legal action against the hacker. Sources: Instagram (1)(2)
