Masdo's Al-Kisah Masdo Sepuloh Tahun concert
It promises a setlist of fan favourites, backed by top-notch production for an unforgettable experience by FARAH SOLHI LOCAL pop band, Masdo, is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary in the music industry this year with the Al-Kisah Masdo Sepuloh Tahun concert on Aug 30. It will be held at Idea Live Arena KL@3 Damansara, making Masdo the first act to perform at the newly launched venue, which has a maximum capacity of 7,000. The concert was officially announced during Masdo's intimate mini showcase, Perjumpaan Ahli Mesyuarat Tingkap, held on April 30 at Saloma Kuala Lumpur. Around 200 fans attended the event, where the band performed five of its most popular hits, including Bunga, Dinda and Lautan Asmara. The upcoming concert promises a dynamic blend of fan-favourite hits and high-quality production, designed to create a truly unforgettable experience. More than just a performance, the show aims to deliver a vibrant yet intimate atmosphere, as Masdo marks its 10th anniversary by reconnecting with fans and celebrating a decade of music, memories, and milestones together. Hitman Group founder and CEO Rohit Rampal expressed confidence in the concert's appeal, noting that it is poised to draw not just long-time Masdo fans, but also a new generation of listeners discovering the band for the first time. #SHOWBIZ: 'Latihan Pestapora Malaysia' celebrates Nusantara's best new artistes
KUALA LUMPUR: Get ready for a sensational music extravaganza featuring the best of Malaysia's and Indonesia's promising new artistes. Latihan Pestapora Malaysia which is set to take place at Sunway Lagoon on July 26. Indonesia is represented by Feast, Hindia, Barasuara x Efek Rumah Kaca, Feel Koplo, Kunto Aji, and Pamungkas who are in town for the first time. As for Malaysia, the star attractions are Bittersweet, Bunkface, Dolla, SonaOne and Salammusik. Presented by Hitman Solutions and Boss Creator, the festival promises a diverse blend of genres—pop, rock and hip-hop—curated for music lovers craving a rich Nusantara experience. In a statement yesterday Hitman Group founder Rohit Rampal said: "Every year, thousands of Malaysian fans travel to Jakarta for the Pestapora experience. "Seeing how the festival unites people together through the power of music, we want Malaysians to feel and live out the same magic here." He added: "Latihan Pestapora serves as a preview for Malaysians who cannot fly to Jakarta for the main Pestapora festival and for the fans who want to get ready for the main event by joining this warm-up celebration." Rampal said that Latihan Pestapora Malaysia is more than just a concert, it is a platform for cultural exchange within the Nusantara region. It is also an opportunity to give fans a rare preview of the full Pestapora experience coming to Jakarta this September. Festival director and Boss Creator co-founder Kiki Ucup said: "For this year's Latihan Pestapora, we are striving to create new experiences by expanding our reach into Malaysia. This event marks MASDO's debut at Malaysia's newest concert venue, with a capacity of 7,000 people. The concert promises a vibrant yet intimate experience as the band celebrates their 10th anniversary with fans. Fans can pre-register from 30th April to 1st May to enjoy the Rockzone Early Bird price of RM128. After that, tickets will be available during the Public Sale, with prices set at RM148 for Rockzone (Free Standing) and RM198 for Category 1 (Seated). From dangdut to hip hop: Latihan Pestapora Malaysia drops diverse first-phase lineup
KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 — Latihan Pestapora Malaysia just dropped its first lineup, featuring 21 acts from Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei, promising a high-energy festival packed with rock, hip hop, pop and even dangdut. Here's a rundown of the first 21 performers who will be taking centre stage at Latihan Pestapora Malaysia, scheduled for Sunway Surf Beach in Sunway Lagoon this July 26 and which will feature a total of 24 acts. Fusion of genres Headlining are Indonesian singer-songwriters Kunto Aji and Pamungkas, who will be serenading fans with beloved tracks such as Rehat and To The Bone. They are joined by Malaysian girl group Dolla, along with local bands such as Salammusik, Bittersweet, and Bunkface. Latihan Pestapora Malaysia will also see several top Indonesian bands joining the lineup, including Hindia, .Feast, Barasuara, Efek Rumah Kaca (ERK), as well as Indonesian dangdut DJ duo Feel Koplo. For the first time ever in Malaysia, Barasuara will perform their acclaimed collaborative set alongside ERK, where both bands will share the stage as they perform some of their greatest hits. The first Barasuara x ERK collaboration was in 2015 during the Sounds From The Corner event in Indonesia, which has been viewed over 4 million times on YouTube. These headliners are followed by a slew of local singers including Naki, Gaston Pong, Fahimi, and Julia Duclos. The lineup also features the only performer from Brunei, singer-songwriter Aziz Harun. Concertgoers can also expect to hear some bars and rhymes from local rappers such as Sonaone, Yonnyboii, Killa Driz, Lil J, and Elva Suyan, while DJ Cza will be on the deck. Keep in mind that there are three acts yet to be revealed. Hitman Solutions founder Rohit Rampal said that Malaysian fans can expect to get a glimpse into one of Indonesia's most successful music festivals. 'Every year thousands of Malaysian fans travel to Jakarta for the Pestapora experience,' Rohit said. 'Seeing how the festival unites people together through the power of music, we want our own Malaysians to feel and live out the same magic here. With over 2,000 tickets sold even before the lineup reveal, it's abundantly evident that many Malaysians are already familiar with and trust the Pestapora brand to deliver a festival that blends music, art, community, and culture into one unforgettable experience.' Meanwhile, Boss Creator founder Kiki Ucup said that it was a dream come true to be able to bring one of Pestapora's pre-events outside of Indonesia. Seeing that Pestapora is already an established name since its debut in 2022, Kiki said that it was part of their requirement to get involved with the lineup selection. Both Kiki and Rohit confirmed that Latihan Pestapora Malaysia will have at least two main stages, and they are currently sorting out details to add another two to three smaller stages around the venue. This will also include activation spaces for art installations, podcast sessions, as well as other activities. Rohit also revealed that around three to four Malaysian artists who perform at Latihan Pestapora Malaysia will also be performing at the main Pestapora festival from September 5 to 7, 2025. This will mark the first time Malaysian artists take centre stage at the event. Tickets for Latihan Pestapora Malaysia are still available, with prices ranging from RM70 to RM199.
