Rohit Saraf Marks Mani Ratnam's Birthday With Thug Life BTS Moments

Rohit Saraf, who rose to fame with his breakthrough roles in Ishq Vishk Rebound and Mismatched, is now set to prove his versatility in Mani Ratnam 's upcoming directorial Thug Life. The movie will star Kamal Haasan in the lead role, followed by an ensemble cast. While Saraf has a small part in the gangster action film, it left a significant impact on the actor, which he revealed on the eminent director's birthday. As Mani Ratnam turned 69 on June 2, Rohit Saraf shared a heartfelt post for the filmmaker on Instagram. The opening frame featured the actor holding what seemed like a script in his hand while the director was seen taking a closer look at the same piece of paper. The two of them seem deeply focused on the script. The following frames included several BTS moments from the Thug Life set as well as some surreal images of the shooting location. The post concluded with a ticket for the upcoming movie, hinting at the actor's humble request to his fans to review his completely different avatar on-screen. Sharing the photos, Saraf talked about his dream-come-true moment when he got the opportunity to work with the ace director. 'Happy Birthday Mani Ratnam sir! It's not every day that you get an opportunity to be part of a legacy as rich as yours. It's an absolute honor and a dream to have had the fortune to stand in your frames, to be directed by you, and to be a small part of your story," he wrote. Although he did not divulge any significant details about the venture, the snap made it clear that he was back on the sets. His drastic physical transformation also grabbed attention. The photo showed Rohit Saraf clicking a mirror selfie while sitting on a chair inside a vanity van. The actor flaunted his washboard abs and chiseled physique, as if shedding his boyish charm for a new role.
