Actor Rohit Saraf has long worn the 'chocolate boy' label like a second skin. From 'Mismatched', 'The Sky is Pink' to 'Ludo', he has carried the image of a guy-next-door. He is the sensitive one, the 'future-husband' material and the boy who made fans (especially his female fans) love his sincerity. His on-screen charm is a quality that makes him instantly likeable. He carved a space for himself in an industry that is obsessed with six-pack abs and masculine personas. However, the 28-year-old's first-look from the show at least promises something different. He steps into a role that is rugged, layered and politically charged. At least that's what the teaser promises. His body language suggests unrest, resistance, and deep inner a stark reintroduction, or a calculated reinvention, even. In choosing such a serious character, he seems to have taken on a new kind of responsibility as a pivot is a bold move for an actor who's built a fan base rooted in youthfulness and innocence. While little is known about the plot, this is the kind of role that demands gravitas and restraint.
