The first habit is what we refers to as listing 'weekly wins' — three things he accomplished each week, no matter how minor. This helped him track progress and communicate his work with more clarity and confidence. Next, he began sending 'monthly manager updates'. These are short, outcome-focused messages summarising what he'd done, the results, and any lessons learned. 'No fluff. Just outcomes. It made me visible without sounding like I was bragging,' he explained. The third habit was reframing how he asked for feedback. During one-on-ones, he would ask a simple question: 'What do I need to improve to be seen as ready for the next level?' That line, he said, led to honest conversations and made his growth a shared goal with his managers.
