Rams injuries: Konata Mumpfield, others exit win vs. Cowboys early
As is the case with most games in the NFL, a few players came out of the Los Angeles Rams' win over the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday a bit banged up. Most notably, rookie wide receiver Konata Mumpfield suffered an ankle injury and was unable to return.
Running back Ronnie Rivers injured his ribs after just a couple of plays and only two carries, quickly being ruled out by the Rams in the fourth quarter. Rookie tight end Anthony Torres also injured his ankle and was ruled out in the fourth quarter.
Sean McVay didn't provide any updates on those three players after the Rams' 31-21 win, but their statuses will be worth monitoring once the team returns to practice on Monday. Mumpfield is a rising rookie who may not have had his best on Saturday, but he's shown flashes in practice that make him someone to watch.
The fact that he was initially listed as questionable to return is a good sign, whereas Rivers and Torres were ruled out rather quickly.
