Oben Electric lists Rorr EZ on Amazon as part of digital EV sales push
Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Oben Electric has made its Rorr EZ model available for booking on Amazon , marking a step in the company's digital retail strategy . The listing includes two variants of the electric motorcycle, priced at ₹1,19,999 and ₹1,29,999 respectively, inclusive of a ₹20,000 discount on the original price. The move is part of Oben Electric's broader approach to combine an expanding showroom network with an online presence. The integration with Amazon is aimed at reaching customers who prefer digital purchasing channels, especially those buying an electric two-wheeler for the first time. Madhumita Agrawal, Founder & CEO, Oben Electric, said, 'Making Rorr EZ available on Amazon is a strategic move to align with the evolving purchase behaviour of Indian consumers. E-commerce gives us a direct and trusted channel to reach them. The launch of Rorr EZ on Amazon reflects our intent to make EV adoption convenient and widespread, especially among first-time electric two-wheeler buyers.' Product and after-sales offering The Rorr EZ is built on Oben's ARX platform and offers a top speed of 95 km/h, acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and an IDC-certified range of up to 175 km. The model is equipped with LFP battery technology developed in-house, and supports fast charging. In addition, the motorcycle includes features such as Geo-Fencing, Theft Protection, Unified Brake Assist ( UBA ), and Drive Assist System (DAS). It is offered in four colour options: Electro Amber, Surge Cyan , Lumina Green, and Photon White. To support long-term use, the company is offering an optional Protect 8/80 battery warranty plan at ₹9,999, covering eight years or 80,000 kilometres with full transferability. The company plans to expand its dealership network to over 150 showrooms across more than 50 cities by the end of the financial year. These outlets will include service centres to provide post-sale support. The company stated that its digital and offline integration is aimed at reshaping how electric two-wheelers are discovered and purchased in India.

Oben Electric bags ₹100 crore in Series A funding
Oben Electric , homegrown electric motorcycle manufacturer , has announced the completion of its Series A funding round with a total raise of ₹100 crore. In January 2025, it secured ₹50 crore, followed by additional ₹50 crore in May 2025, taking the total Series A funding to ₹100 crore and overall funding to ₹200 crore. The round saw participation from both new and existing investors, including Helios Holdings, the Sharda family office, the Kay family, and others. The company stated that the new funds would be used to scale manufacturing capacity, expand its presence to over 150 showrooms across more than 50 cities by FY26, and support development of a new product platform named 'O100' targeting motorcycles under ₹1 lakh. Madhumita Agrawal, Founder & CEO of Oben Electric, said: 'The extended Series A funding is a strong vote of confidence from our investors and comes at a time when our momentum is accelerating nationwide. We're expanding not just our retail footprint but also our innovation roadmap with platforms like O100 that aim to democratize electric motorcycles for the mass market. Backed by full vertical integration and a resilient supply chain, this funding prepares us for a new phase of scale, impact, and growth opportunities.' Following the initial Series A raise, Oben Electric rapidly scaled with 37 retail outlets across 26 cities in 13 states, entering key markets like Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. Oben Electric designs and manufactures both electric motorcycles and their critical components, including Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, motors, vehicle control units, and home fast chargers. The Bengaluru-headquartered firm's current lineup includes the Oben Rorr and Rorr EZ. It is also planning a $30 million Series B funding round later in 2025 to support international expansion and further product development.

Oben Electric To Launch New Entry-Level Motorcycle Soon, Unveils Fresh Platform
In India, the entry-level commuter motorcycle segment accounts for approximately 30 percent of total two-wheeler sales. The Bengaluru-based company, Oben Electric, has introduced the O100 platform, which aims to provide affordable electric motorcycles tailored for daily commuters. This new platform offers a sustainable alternative to popular 100 cc petrol bikes, such as the Hero Splendor, Honda Shine 100, and Bajaj Platina 100. The new O100 platform will support Oben's second electric motorcycle. The O100 is a modular platform developed entirely in-house by Oben Electric. It is designed to support various electric motorcycle models with different battery capacities, all priced under Rs 1 lakh. Oben holds over 25 patents related to these technologies. The first motorcycle based on the O100 platform is expected to launch in the second half of 2025. The Oben Rorr features a 4.4 kWh battery that provides a range of 187 km and can reach a top speed of 100 km/h. It accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3 seconds, delivers a peak power of 8 kW, and achieves an 80 percent charge in only 2 hours. The bike also includes advanced safety features, such as a driver alert system and geo-fencing theft protection. Its starting price is Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The more budget-friendly option, the Rorr EZ, starts at Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom) for the 2.6 kWh battery version. There are also versions available with 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh batteries, priced at Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

The new platform should help the electric bike maker achieve a boost in sales. Oben is working on its second new platform developed in-house. At present, Oben Electric retails two offerings - the Rorr and Rorr EZ e-bikes. Both models are based on the ARK platform and share the same underpinnings albeit with a few changes. While the Oben Rorr is a flagship offering, the upcoming commuter e-bikes will be a lot more basic and are set to arrive towards the second half of the year.
