The new trailer begins with Wednesday awakening at a hospital and meeting her spirit guide, the late Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie). 'Principal Weems!?' a perplexed Wednesday says before Weems offers her a sponge bath. 'What kind of hell is this?' she continues. 'This isn't hell Miss Adams. But I understand the confusion,' she informs Wednesday. 'If I'm not dead, then why are you here?' Wednesday asks. 'Because I am your new spirit guide,' she tells Wednesday. 'Surprise!' Meanwhile, Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) is still on the loose - and is targeting Wednesday and Enid (Emma Myers). 'I'm going to fix it,' Wednesday tells Enid. 'Fix it!? You're the reason he escaped!' Enid replies. 'She's got a point,' Wednesday's new spirit guide says, earning a rebuke from her mentee. 'Stay out of this!' Wednesday replies back sharply. 'Who are you talking to?' Enid asks. 'No one,' Wednesday responds sternly. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman also return as Wednesday's parents, Morticia and Gomez Addams, respectively. 'Every family has dark chapters, Wednesday,' Morticia informs her daughter. 'If there's ever a time to unburden yourself with the truth, now is it,' Wednesday says, seemingly in reference to her parents. The second part of season two will debut on September 3. Netflix officially announced Gaga's season two cameo during the Tudum 2025 live event back in May. The pop singer lit up the Kia Forum with an 8-minute medley of hits, including her latest single Abracadabra, all in honor of the streamer's smash series Wednesday. Emerging from a coffin marked 'Here Lies the Mother Queen,' Gaga leaned all the way into the spooky aesthetic, surrounded by dancers channeling the Addams Family. She even busted out the viral dance from Season 1, originally performed by the show's lead Jenna Ortega to The Cramps' Goo Goo Muck — which famously went viral when it was mashed up with Gaga's own track Bloody Mary. And in a full-circle moment that brought the house down, Gaga welcomed Ortega herself to the stage. Netflix posted on their X account: 'Welcome to Nevermore, Mother Monster.' The streaming giant revealed the pop icon shot her role in a single day while filming on location in Ireland. Her casting was first leaked back in November. The role of Wednesday Addams in the film adaptations was previously made iconic by Christina Ricci.

A source shared with The Sun that the tune samples Gaga's hit Abracadabra, off her latest album Mayhem, which she is currently touring. 'It has already been a massive year for Gaga but she's never been one to rest on her laurels. Dead Dance is all ready to go and fans will love it. 'It's another classic dark pop tune and while it's been made for Wednesday, it perfectly fits into the world of Mayhem,' the insider revealed. According to the publication, one lyric the music artist sings in Dead Dance is: 'When you killed me inside, that's when I came alive.' Per the site, Dead Dance already has a choreographed dance routine that Wednesday producers hope will go viral on social media.
